WELCOME!!!
We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.
We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't.
We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time.
Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out.
We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.
I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for the Amazon "store" in the upper right hand corner of the screen on the PURPLE tool bar. A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.
There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!!

AMMI my love, I am praying for your pain to ease. Maybe your mum didn't see you with you weight gone but she sees you now and I know she is very proud of you.
Feel her hand on your head when you close your eyes
. The pain does not go away but the waves of panic
become farther between and the punch will ease up too
. My mom passed 3 years ago and I still miss everything about her. But now it's my job to keep her memory alive to the little ones so they know and love her as she did them.
xoxoxooxoxooxoxoxoo
love ya.
Greetings chickies! I know when we have hard times it helps to hear that others are
doing well. I have drawn from all of you
soooo many times. I am sharing my acheivments with you to help give back a boost
to any one who might need it, as you have all done for me.
I gave in and weighed yesterday for the first time in a month and was pleased.
In the last 30 days I have reduced...
. 4 inches off my waist and am down....12 lbs
. I am very
pleased. Of course
I want more but I am happy that things are going in the right direction...OFF OF ME
! I did not lose those pounds and inches...
I through them away. Lost would make my mind go look for what is lost. NO THANKS!
I don't want them back and I did not give them away either. I buried those suckers
.
sadness feelings. I hate that I can't be normal when it comes to food. That I have to make a porposeful thought about what to and what not to put in my mouth
. I do see huge changes in my thinking proccess lately
. I have been really
listening to my body alot.
I DO NOT allow my
onge decide when I stop eating
. If I feel like I want more because of the taste, I eat something totally differnt.
Like pickle or a sugar free hardcandy, something that is very differnt than what I think I want.
Well, 12 lbs says it works for me. My poor dh is learning not to take much food at a meal because he ends up with most of mine now. I hate to throw it out and I don't want to make my kids fat so ....he gets it.LOL. He says no if he wants to but mostly he just plans on me giving it to him in advance. Good thing he likes the thing I eat now.
LUCKY BRAT! Well I guess the lucky one is me.
Sharon& Lisa good luck and stay strong ladies.
You are taking on a very admirable task with your liquid choices.
My thoughts and prayer for stregnth and sucsess to you and all my hard working ladies here.
