Maybe we can be an encouragement to each other. I did Meridia about 12 months ago and I stopped in April because I had Surgery and I didn't start again. I am sorry to say I have gainned most of it back. Mine was due to me not being able to due any excercising at all and taking pain meds and of course going back to my bad eating habits! I am going to the Dr. on thurs and I will be asking to be back on the Meridia. It really help me while I was on it.

Hey Sami, I need all the support I can get How much weight were you able to loose on the meridia? I am very impressed with my results so far. I have a meridia club with just a few members but it is very supportive. If you would like the link let me know I hope to hear from you soon. Missy

Hi Missy!
I did very well on it I was at 50lbs when I quit taking it. I would love the link! I go back to the DR tomorrow so I sure he will want me to take it again. one thing to remember is when you go off you have to keep up the lifestyle changes.

Wow......50 lbs is great!!!!!! I weighed today and I am now down 24 lbs. I want to loose about 35 more. I have only been on the meridia for 5 1/2 weeks. But I have been excercising 2 even 3 times a day. My husband says that I'm obsessed but I just tell him that I'm determinedI will find the link to the club and post it Missy

I was on Meridia before I had surgery and I liked it because I was not hungry while taking it. It doesn't make you shaky like other diet aids do. For me it seem to work by sending feel good messages to my brain and I could tell a diffrence when I went off. The only thing that worries me is to go through it again and gain again. I think all the pain meds slowed my system down and help me to gain weight after my surgery plus the fact that I layed around for awhile durning recovery.
