Hello from a newbie!

  • Just thought I'd give a friendly hello and introduce myself! I was online searching for healty recipes to make for my husband and I when I stumbled across this forum. I have yet to do a little more nosing aorund here to find out how everything works, but I thought a little support wouldn't hurt anybody. I'm 24 and have been married for almost 3 years now. My hubby put on a good 40lbs not long after we got married, and although he needed to put on some of it, it's slowly starting to climb up again--and I'm finally starting to join him. My goal for the both of us is not any big fad diet as he would never commit to that and I would probably not last long, but to change our lifestyle to one of more veggies, less fatty foods, and definately more exercise. It's a little hard because I need someone giving me motivation, and although the husband will eat what I put in front of him he's not exactly rooting for any changes; which is where you guys come in! I'll be keeping an eye out for tips, recipes, advice, and maybe I'll be more honest with my eating/exercising habits if there is someone watching me. Nice to meet you all
  • Idahotater, welcome to 3FC! You will find that there are always members around to answer questions and provide support and motivation. This site is the best 1st step you could have taken! Read around the boards and you will find info on every lifestyle plan out there, and I'm sure you will find one that fits with your goals. Good luck!
