What should I do ???

  • I just feel SO full lately when I am doing this diet, which is really good and helping me out, so thats a great thing! But the last few days I haven't quite made the full 28 points a day I am suppose to have. Is this a really bad thing or is it okay?? Here is what I have had the past few days - the 1st day is the only day I acutally hit 28 points. ???

    Day 1 - Tuesday

    Breakfast

    2 slices of toast = 1 point
    5 sprays of butter = 0 points
    1 banana = 2 points

    Total = 3 points

    Snack

    Honey Maid - Cinnamon Thin Crisps - 100 Calorie Packs

    = 2 points

    Lunch

    Creamy Rigatoni w/ Broccoli & Chicken = 6 points
    2 slices of bread = 1 point

    Total = 7 points

    Dinner

    TenderCrisp Salad - from BK
    w/ lite Ranch Dressing

    = 16 points

    Points: 28 points
    Water: 128oz!!!!!!!!


    Day 2 - Wednesday

    2 eggs = 4 points
    2 slices of toast = 1 point

    TOTAL = 5 points

    Lunch

    Bolonga sandwich = 3 points
    Tater chips = 1 point
    Banana = 2 points

    TOTAL = 6 points

    Snack

    2 little slices of cucumber = 0 points
    WW Snack Cake-Carrot Cake = 1 point
    ______________________________
    TOTAL = 1 point

    Dinner

    SmartOnes - Marina Ziti ?? w/ cheese= 8 points
    2 slices of bread = 1 point

    Day 3 - Thursday

    (with) Ranch / 2 tblspoons = 1 point

    Total for today so far is 19 points.. and Im FULL and its arleady 7:09pm here!!

    What should I do?? try to eat more tonight before bed?? And is okay to do like I did on the other days?? I just dont want to make a habit or lose weight and then gain it back for doing it wrong, since I did lose 2lbs already.

  • Whenever it was getting late and I still had a bunch of points left (whether from eating low-point foods or extra activity points), I would eat a 1/2 cup of full fat real ice cream, something that would be a real treat, like Hagen Daas or Godiva or something really chocolatey, half a cup would knock those points right out, and it would be the real deal, not that nasty non-fat or no-sugar added stuff....but real cream and real sinful goodness. Not every night mind you, but once in a great while we all have those low point days where you can do this guilt free.


    Once your weight goes down and your point level drops, you will probably wish you had this same problem I remember thinking in the beginning, "I'm eating too much food, I'll never lose weight!"... but the WW formula works and if you give your body the nutrition it needs, those pounds will slide right off.
  • Yes eating less than the minimum or target points will serve to slow your metabolism.

    You got some good advice but if you truly follow the 8 Good Health Guidelines you really shouldn't fall below...

    dairy (and that doesn't mean just milk) is 4-6 points (6-8 if over 50 or over 250 pounds) and healthy oils are 2 points so right there that is 6-8 points (8-10 over 50 or 250 lbs).
  • I agree with KellyS. It slows your metabolism. The WW people have done a ton of research and know what works. If you're not eating enough food, your body won't lose weight. The same way it won't if you're eating too much. It's that saying that "you have to eat to lose." Sounds weird, but it's true.
    Also looking at your menus, you need to add dairy, fruits, and veggies. Add a glass of milk with a couple of meals. You can do whole milk to add more points. Fruits are also good to add points. And get your healthy oil in to add a couple more points.
    I know it seems like a good idea to eat less, and that the weight should drop faster if you do, but you really should eat all of your daily points. You should even eat some of your WPA. That's my favorite part of this plan, you get to eat and still lose weight!!
