Default Who DOESN'T track points on flex?

So I have a friend who's on the flex plan, but doesn't track points. Not even quick tracking.

That just seems weird to me. Maybe because I track pretty seriously. But is anyone else out here on flex without tracking points? And if so, is it working out okay?

Well some people can track in their heads but my 'mind' isn't always the sharpest knife in the drawer so I track or at least quick track.

Without tracking you have a tendancy to forget a point her or there and over there and back here and that could add up.

I don't really keep track of my points. When I was on WW the first time I journaled and wrote down everything I ate, and I believe you should. However this time with WW I just havn't. I am aware of my points and try to have less than 10-12 by the time I leave work and then I'm just careful about what I eat in the evening. I know it is not the best way but so far it is working for me. If I get to a point that I am not loosing I will try to go back to keeping better track of my points.

See, I hadn't even considered doing Weight Watchers flex without tracking, it just seemed an alien thought to me. I definitely understand the people who don't always journal -- who skip weekends, or who just do it now and then to keep on track. But not journaling at all from the start just seemed weird to me.

Of course, I am point-neurotic. I am really bad. I mean, if I cook something new for dinner, I sometimes can't eat it until I journal it just to see how my points are shaping up. So maybe the two of us balance out to a healthy middle ground.

rabidstoat, I'm with you--journaling is so important to me as a disciplinary tool that I track points even though I am essentially eating "core" style...I know for sure that I would engage in selective memory if I weren't jotting and noting and consulting the points books as I plan, shop, prep and eat my meals...

I track everything. I really tried to do core but I just felt uncomfortable not writing every point down (needless to stay I'm sticking with flex). My DH doesn't track his points and he is doing flex as well. The way he gets around it is he basically eats the same thing everyday (except for dinner and I ususally tell him the points for that). I'm a variety kinda girl I need to try all new things all the time so if I didn't track every point I'd be S.O.L. LOL

Good for all of you who are keeping journals. I'm sure if I had been, I would have lost more in the 10 months I've been back on WW, especially over the summer. I've just had a hard time, I've started journal many weeks, it last a day or so.

How can you be on the Flex Plan and not count points - that is not the plan. So she is not on WW she's just eating less.

I haven't been tracking point but am going to make a firm resolution to start. My weight loss has slowed down and I need to find out why. I agree though, people who don't track are just eating less
