Default Clothes, a catch 22!!

So I'd been in my 18's FOREVVVEERRR... the weight was still coming off, I'd just been wearing them because they still fit. I had a friend give me a bunch of cute size 16 pants a jeans several months ago I just hadn't thought to get them out yet because the 18's still fit... and when I'd tried them on initially I couldnt' even get them all the way up. Well I finally went through all my jeans and put up the ones that fall off (most of them ahah) and busted out the 16's... They're already almost too big!!! ARGH... The next size down I have is 12 and I don't see that happening anytime soon. So it's good and bad.. good that I dropped 2 sizes, and bad that I have to buck it up and spend money on more clothes and that I didn't wear the 16's when they would have looked good on me!

I dont know if you have a store called Catos... but I find nice clothes their for a reasonable price. They have a Womens side and a Missy side. I can go in and get a few things without feeling so guilty about spending so much money!

I bought a really cute jean jacket for just 20 dollars there last week Actually I'm wearing it now

And actually have you tried 14's? thats the next size down from 16. They will probably fit you!

Yeah, try a size 14, we have about the same exact stats and thats where I am... Brands like Old Navy and Gap I love and aren't so expensive and they always have sales!! Especially online shopping (My vice)

SlimmingDown, I have gotten some really good deals at Cato's too. Seems like they have good sales.
ValRock, I bet you could wear a 14 now, try some.

I guess I'll have to! We're hurting for cash now and I didn't want to have to go clothes shopping again . We don't have a Catos here, Darn! I'll take a look at Old Navy though... I can usually get away with pretty good deals in the clearance section. Getting skinny is so expensive! lol j/k! totally worth it

I know Ross and Marshalls are all designer clothes that are marked down.. You get like 50$ jeans for 15 bucks, you should see if theres one of those near you. those are country wide clothing stores im pretty sure.

Congrats on the great NSV! You don't have to spend alot of money on clothes.. Sometimes just 2 pairs of tops and jeans is all you need if you're low on money! Good luck and I hope you fit into those 12's soon!

Congrats!
If you're not bothered by used stuff-ebay is a GREAT place to get some cheap clothes. I just couldn't see spending a fortune on clothes I'm getting into and just trying to get to the next size down-
the last pair of jeans I got was brand new still with the tags-$32.50-and I paid 99 cents for the item and $2.50 for shipping. Alot of times the same size clothes are sold in lots, with several pieces, and you can get good deals because you only pay shipping once. I also went to a yard sale yesterday and got some perfectly decent jeans for 50 cents.
I live in BFE and don't ever get anywhere near a cato's or marshall's, so my options are pretty limited.....

I have also gotten some of my favorite things at consignment shops and yard sales. I love to bargain shop.

I'm all about thrift stores, if you can find a good one, you can walk out with a whole garbage bag of clothes for like $20, congrats on dropping 2 sizes while you weren't looking too fantastic NSV!
