Default If You HAD TO Pick ONE TJ Video...

which one would it be and why? I am going to be able to get ONE, maybe TWO from e-bay on Friday and I really want one that will be a good start for me and not something I'm going to get discouraged with. I am as my sig says 193 lbs, down from nearly 250, I was down to 165 but I got pg and then was in a bad communal living situation and self-medicated with high-fat, high-carb, no-good foods. I'm back to eating healthy and exercising, but seemingly stuck between 193-197 I know all the videos have adaptive/easy to follow people off to the side, but I'm not too sure where to start. I looked at e-bay over the weekend {Stalked is more the term, I was on the tj pages ALL THE TIME when I was on the computer} and I don't think I'm quite ready for cardio party 3 or the turbo sculpt, but other than that I'm totally clueless. Someone said on a previous TJ thread that the 'original' videos are easier for beginners. Which ones are the originals?

The original DVD's have Learn & Burn, the 20 Minute Workout & Turbo Sculpt They are easy and low impact.

I'd also vote for the L&B and 20 minute one. I love the 20 minute one and I've had TJ for about 2 months now.

Default Cardio Party 1!

I would pick Cardio Party 1... The Learn to burn was boring and the 20min one I could never get into. It may take you a handful of times to get through all the moves in CP1, but it's so much more fun! You'll probably get more use of out it once you get get moves down it's not likely you'd go back to using the Learning one.

thanks for all the input! I'm afraid to go with the cardio party one first because I've never done anything of this nature before and don't want to end up hurting myself by jumping into something I'm not ready for...

Understandable! I was able to jump right into cardioparty1, but I had been doing kickboxing for2 months before that so most of the moves were adaptations of that. It's still challenging to me but hey I can get through it at 265!

If your just beginning or don't know kickboxing your definately better the the Learn to Burn one. Just keep in mind that they are aren't as "fun" so don't want you to decide you don't like it based on those 2. If I only had those 2 to go by I wouldn't have continued. Maybe get that one, and when you're through sell it and get CP1.

definately take it at your own pace though and modify down as you need to... good luck! Hope you like it as much as other do just remeber to give it a handful of chances before you decide. It took me a few run throughs to get it down.
