Default Just started today.....

I am a lifetime member-- but have not weighed in since 1998 and even then I was not at my goal.

Hardest thing about me joining back was that initial weigh in-- actually seeing my weight in writing--

Now that that is over-- and I am about done with my first day-- I am seeking ways and input to stay motivated. I have never had to lose this much weight in my life. When I got my lifetime membership 16 ish years ago-- I had lost 20 lbs. So this is a big hurdle for me.

Anyhow-- I had posted on this site quite awhile back when I tried SB diet (I never did stick to that) so I thought I would come back and try the WW board.

I am anxious to read everyones thoughts!

Welcome BJ!

The program has undergone several changes over the years and has improved IMHO.

thanks for the welcome!! I like that it does not alienate any one food group but teaches you to make good food choices :>

Easy for me to be motivated on day one -- in a few days I may be screaming!! lol

Well my suggestion on how to get motivated is sitting down and reflecting on what you want out of life and writing it down for yourself.

I wanted to lose weight for health reasons so that pushed me into taking care of myself now so I can be fit and age well in the future.

WW now includes healthy grains and wholewheat products over processed ones and does push exercise and a balanced diet while not eliminating entire food groups which I really appreciate.

WELL I WENT TO WI LAST NIGHT AND I PUT BACK ON THE 3.1 KGS THAT I HAD LOST. I WAS THOUGH SICK WITH BRONCHITIS AND I DIDNT EAT THAT MUCH SO I KNEW THAT ONCE I GOT MY APPETITE BACK I WOULD PUT THE WEIGHT BACK ON. WHEN I LOST MY FIRST 5KGS LAST WI I REWARDED MYSELF WITH FOOD FISHN CHIPS SAT AND HUNGRY JACKS LARGE MEAL DEAL SUNDAY. I ALSO HAD A PARTY TO GO TO ON THE WEEKEND SO THERE WERE FOODS THERE I COULDNT RESIST. THIS WEEKEND TOO IS MY SONS 3RD BDAY PARTY SO I AM GOING TO SAVE SAVE SAVE SO I CAN ENJOY MYSELF ON THE WEEKEND.

MY GOALS FOR THIS WEEK ARE:

EXERSICE 30 MIN EVERYDAY SO THAT IS 14 BONUS POINTS

I AM ALSO GOING TO TRACK AND TRY AND SAVE MY 4 POINTS OFF MY DAILY POINT TOTAL.

I AM NOT GOING TO LET THIS SET BACK INTERFERE WITH MY WEIGHTLOSS EFFORTS. PARTY AND BBQ'S ARE PART OF LIFE YOU STILL GOT TO LIVE LIFE AND ENJOY IT.

I'm a returning ltm too. I've probably lost 250 pounds since my original goal was met... 2 kids (now adults) and 28 years later, I'm back at it. I just turned 50 in June and I am not going to go down the path of my (genetic pattern) family. Obese, arthritic, knee & hip replacements, heart problems, high blood pressure and stroke.

The arthritis is already here, but I am active at the gym (for just over 2 years now) and am going to get the excess weight off before it starts compromising my mobility.

Congrats to all of us for sticking with it ... even if it is "again"!!
