My ex neighbour's (thank the gods for that 'ex'!) son had a Burberry baseball cap. But he was always so polite and nice to me, whenever I saw him - remember Kevin the teenager, how he spoke all creepy to Perry's mum? Just like that! Then, since they moved out, we found out he had a string of convictions for assault and was wearing a leg tag. And my neighbours were so lace-curtain-no-knickers (apart from their embarrassing kids, which didn't seem to belong to them...) They had an immaculate kitchen and you could imagine they used doilies, had their little holidays abroad, etc etc. But the baseball cap (Burberry is the worst sort but any baseball cap is chav really) and the string of not quite functioning white Ford cars gave it away.
