First thing - make your breakfasts beforehand and freeze them or keep in fridge. have a supply already to go for the week. I have a couple of servings of steel cut oats in the fridge every week.. nuke and eat. I also make ww english muffins with some scrambled egg whites veggies and soy sausage on it. Keep in freezer. Put in fridge nite before. Nuke in morning. You don't have to eat breakfast food for breakfast. Think outside the box. waking up early is hard, but is just depends how badly you want this. I never thought I'd be able to get up at 4:30am work out for over an hour and get to work by 7 to work all day.. but I do. because I want this bad enough.

A lot of granolas are loaded with sugar. As with any food.. check the labels. They also can be quite high in fat. You can use peanut butter.. small amounts. You can use a sugar free jelly, small amounts. You can put turkey bacon and tomatoe and make a breakfast BLT. Watch the margarines as a lot of them contain transfats. Even if it says transfat free, check the label for hydrogenated oils.

Hi bouncy - Linda has it totally right, you've got to plan ahead, particularly for breakfast. I am also a sleeper in the morning and don't want to spend half an hour making breakfast every day. One of my tricks is to chop omelette veggies and keep them in small tupperwares so I can just wake up and throw them in a frying pan with some egg whites. It takes only 5 minutes instead of 25 ! I usually keep chopped onion, mushroom, pepper, feta cheese, and smoked salmon on hand so I can have variety. I'm also a huge fan of whole-grain toast with peanut butter - YUMMY! I also do yogurt as a protein in the AM when I am in a hurry. Throw some cinnamon on it and maybe sprinkle a few raisins or teaspoons of grapenuts and it will taste great!

Eating breakfast is so good for you, make it a habit. For years I skipped breakfast and thought I was doing myself a favor by saving calories - boy, was I WRONG! Now I eat breakfast everyday and find that it keeps me from over-eating throughout the rest of the day, and gets my metabolism going right off. I never gained a single ounce by adding breakfast into my diet. Infact, it's helped me to both lose and maintain.

KEEP IT UP! YOU CAN DO THIS!
