I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.
Patti: Thank you so much for a name to call you instead of toofat. I love Patti. My real name is Annie if you don't want to call me dogpal! LOL.
Ammi: Thanks for the congrats. I'm sure yours is coming right around the corner!
Kayley: Sorry that your time was wasted on that last interview. Hugs. Maybe next one will be the one.
Suemarie: I want a boflex machine too. SO does my hubby. We don't have the room in this place we are renting. I want an ablounger too but I am too heavy for it so, It will be a treat for me when I reach the weight where I can go on one. Congrats on -5 water weight or not!
Nancy: The bad thing is that I eat way to much salt with the lemon. They are so yummy like that. Kind of like a margarita! I'd love to work with you. I think you would be a joy to work with. Really long commute for me! LOL.
Missing all the ladies. Where are you VAL? Hope you are having fun on your horses.
Misti, Hi, I don't know whether I welcomed you here, though I'm sure you have been here before. It is a good idea to set goals, what's that saying? If you aim for the stars..fail...you hit the moon... or something like that, you get the picture. Brenda, great on the smaller clothes & people noticing. Crock, sorry about your back/bra(?) & allergies, at least you have your inhaler to help. Hope you get to catch some really big ones, do you eat them? It must be great catching & eating your own fish & its so good for you, low in fat & high in protein. Nancy it sounds like your CEO needs a telling off!!! how can they not replace people when they leave and expect others to do their work? if they do that they should give you their salaries too!!! Ammi, way to go on all that activity & staying up AND being OP!
Sorry if I missed anyone, its not intentional, I agree too there are lots of people missing, where are you, Amy, Catherine, Garnet....Valerie?
I feel slimmer but the scales aren't showing it, hubby grabbed the fatty bits around my waist and said there's definately less there, which put me off feeling frisky! And he didn't know why!!!! Do I need reminding of my wobbly bits? He still doesn't get that I'm mad at him when he talked with those people & let that woman hug him either, without even acknowledging or introducing me, men!!
I though my tummy was better but it was coz I had jeans on, I thought it would make it worse, (I usually wear track pants around the house) so I will try exercising today & see what happens, if it doesn't improve or gets worse I'm off to the Doc's. Nancy it was my cervix the operated on, this is near my waist/belly button, so I'm sure it's not related. Could it be a hernia, has anyone had one so I can rule it out?
xxxsharon
It's a gorgeous day here, the sun is shining, and I have a full line of washing outside drying. There is nothing like the smell of freshly washed clothes that have been dried outside!! They even make candles trying to capture that fragrance!
Kayley - ah yes, all that extra free time would be well spent working out, especially as you are determined to lose another 30 lbs before you go back to school in the fall.
That sucks that you went to all that trouble to go to the interview, only to find that nobody was there. Still it sounds like it was for the best, a job collecting money door to door would be horrible!
SueMarie - woohoo, that is fabulous that you lost not one, not two, not three, not four, but five lbs! I bet you are over the moon. Water weight or not, it's still a great loss, and now you can continue the downward trend!
Patti - you aren't going to tell me on Saturday that you think that will be your official weigh in day, then on Sunday that you will think that will be it, and so on and so on are you Personally I like Monday as my weigh in day, daft really because I would be more tempted to be naughty on the weekend, so Friday might be a better day Nah, I'll be good and stick to Mondays.
Cyn - I don't blame you for not exercising when your allergies were playing up. Time enough for that when you are feeling better.
Nancy - I would love to come clean out your closet, now I won't charge you anything more than oooh let's see, my airfare over there Seriously I think my ideal job would be one where I sort out people's clutter. Of course I won't know what is valuable to them sentimentally or not, so I might end up in lots of trouble lol. I think I better stick to just keeping my own stuff sorted out
I am sorry that you were a bit stressed in work today, it does seem silly that when people leave you are one of the ones that end up having to do the extra work. I hope you can find a new part time employee soon, that will help take a load off. Now isn't it a shame Kayley lives too far from you, she is desperate to find work, and you have a job going.
Misti - 6 lbs in 3 weeks sounds very doable, and I am sure you will have lost that 40 lbs by your birthday. Are you going to let us know what date it is and how old you are going to be? We have to wish you a happy birthday
That is brilliant that you are going on a cruise, where will you be cruising too, and is it an early birthday treat for you?
Sharon - I have never had a hernia, but from talking to others I know they can always feel a lump, you said you can't feel anything didn't you? Anyway here is a link to a site all about Hernias, you might find some info there that will make you sure you do,or don't (which I am hoping for) have one. http://www.hernia.org/ I hope you are going to be ok!
As for hubby grabbing your flabby bits and then complimenting you that they are definitely smaller, all I can say is MEN they have no idea sometimes do they. How come he doesn't realise you are still angry too about not being introduced to his work mates, especially the smug ***** who hugged him?? I think it's about time you gave him some grief, perhaps when you aren't as worried about what that pain is that you have.
As mentioned by others, we have some women who are AWOL at the moment, Zelma, Garnetfairy, Catherine, Christine, Lori, Val (though I think she is on the road) MariaLucia, Amber, Amy, Vicki, WHERE ARE YOU ALL??
Ok time to go now, it's my mid morning nap time now lol. Got to recharge the batteries before carrying on with some cleaning this afternoon.
well i decided on today.. friday as my official weigh in day. i am down 2 pounds which does include that pesky pound that kept coming back!Good morning Annie hope you have a great day too!

Sure! May 26 and I will be 59!! Wow where did the years go? But it beats the options LOL.
I am spending my birthday this year on my first ever cruise! My niece and I are heading to Alaska inside passage on May 21, yippeeeeeeeeeeee. She arrives two weeks from today!
We are soooooo excited. We booked this 9 months ago and at the time it was a distant dream way out in the future... and now here I am rushing around trying to get things done in time LOL.
Misti - Wow what a wonderful way to spend a birthday. My mum decided to take us on our first ever cruise when she was turning 40. She said life begins then, so why not begin it on a cruise May 26th, you won't be here then, you will be happily on your cruise, so in advance, Happy Birthday
Patti - well done, another 2 lbs gone including that pesky little one that keep popping back up just to irritate you I think you picked the perfect official WI day.
Crock - yoohoo where are you?? Are those darn alergies still getting you down. I hope you got to go to the doctor about them.
Misti - I did the inland waterway cruise to Alaska when I was in my twenties. It is stupendous - lots of eagles, and we cruised alongside one pod of killer whales for over a day. Only had one rough day, when we had to go outside an island to make up some time, so very few people had seasickness. I don't get it, but be sure to bring some dramamine - don't want to lose even an evening.
The only suggestion I can give is to be sure to bring sweaters and a good jacket. I only brought one, and by the end, I was sick of it, and I think it was getting a little smelly.
Excuse me for sticking my nose in, since I usually post in 40+, but I had to say something.
Enjoy every minute. It's the cruise of a lifetime.
I am here and have had a shot and my inhaler.. feeling some better, but the upper back is still bothersom.. Got some Advil for that.. I have lost another 3 lbs.. that sure must be my Magic Number,, I was weighed this morning at the docs office.. that is a grand total of 56 lbs.. she<)the doc) said that the loss was not too quick,, and she was very happy that the South Beach is the way for me.. I told her I was waiting on the stall to come, but on a good note she said that she has seen her patients lose as high as 80 lbs or better before there is a stall.. so that sounds good to me.. I am healthy so all is good here on the home front.. It rained alot last night, so the pollen has drawed it evil little horns in,, I have stayed at Kims the past couple of days, hanging out with her and Austin, and Mandy ( her oldest 12 going on 45) I have enjoyed myself.. Her Hubby leaves the house around 5am and gets back around 7pm .,So we have all day to have our Hen talks and ***** and complain about all the Man things that irritate us.. But sometime today I will be going home.. (bout 15 minutes up the road).. It is a good break from staying at the Parents house..,, God, I cant wait to buy a house ,,,Hard times.. I tell ya..
Ammi~~ Sorry I have been not around,, but we will make up for it soon enough...Thanks for missing me.. (awwwshucks)
Misti - I have to say, you don't LOOK like you're turning 59! You've aged well... (I don't know how to say that without sounding like an ***, lol...but it's a compliment...hehe) GOOD LUCK getting to that goal!
Crock - My fellow South Beacher, you are doing fantastically well!
I have counseling at 3pm today, and then my friend is coming over, and we are going to go out. Dunno what we're going to do, but we always find something to keep us amused. As for all you ladies missing, COME BACK THIS INSTANT! If you've fallen off plan, don't let that stop you from coming back...we're here to help you!!! And we MISS you!!!!
Better change the ticker to reflect my tiny (but it's there, gain...hoping it's water retention...)
Hope all you ladies (and mokster if he hasn't fled) have a great and OP day!
I cannot stay and post for long, but I did want to stop in and write Kayle a bit of a note. I'm really busy at work and I also need to get my resume finished so that I can apply to ALL these job annoucements. I have a good feeling about this whole thing. Controller position, here I COME! LOL
Kayle - I know you want a PAID job...but if you are going to have a bit of free time in the summer, and are forced to take a non-clerical job to make money, I suggest you volunteer in the office of a local non-profit (preferrably for a cause you believe in) or at your Church/Temple/Mosque/Shanga/Spiritual Center if you attend one. On the non-profit side there's everything from Arts to Legal Aid to Catholic Charities to pet rescue centers to environmental causes...you name it! Make sure you talk to the Executive Director, or the person in charge of volunteers and tell them that you really support their cause and that you want to get some clerical experience for your resume. They will be glad to have you one morning a week (or more if you can do it). It's a great way to get experience, a good letter of reference for that temp agency, and an office job to put on your resume. And, people who are on the Boards of Directors for all these non-profits are usually business and political leaders in your community (usually BoD try to recruit at least one accountant/finance person and one lawyer to be on their Board). As a volunteer, you could get a chance to interact with these people (especially if you volunteer to take notes at their meetings and do a great job of typing them up in a timely manner and get them distributed for approval), or at the very least, have the Executive Director interceed on your behalf when the time is right. Besides, it NEVER hurts to make those contacts!
When I moved to CA from Boston, I didn't know anyone and could not find a job to save my life (DESPITE a solid job history and 2 degrees!!!). I knocked on one door after another and nothing. To this day, don't know how I made ends meet!! I clearly remember being in the position, more than once, of having $1 to my name and having to choose putting gas in my car, which I needed to look for work, rather than food. So, as I made ends meet I started volunteering for the local arts council because they had a project going with City Government (that is where reading the local paper daily is REALLY helpful!). Every day that I didn't have work, I went to the office and made myself indispensable. Within 3 months I knew the mayor, the local chief of police, the local fire chief, a whole host of movers and shakers in my community, and a Supervisor who ended up being our Congresswoman a few years later. Or more importantly, THEY new me and my name and how to get a hold of me. You'd better believe I never had a hard time finding work again...that is, until I moved down to the Bay Area. LOL
I hope you don't take my advice as me being preachy or meddling. It's just that I KNOW from personal experience how HARD it is to get your foot in the door when you are young and have little "work experience" required by people so that they give you a job. I didn't have anyone to guide me and had to learn all this stuff through trial and error. I'm hoping my words will make your life easier than mine was then! :-)
Alright, I have to go.
Blessings everyone!
