Default 40 pounds gone forever!!!

I just hit my 40 pound mark!
It feels so amazing to know I've gotten so far. I have not been on an official program. I have been really watching my portion size which had gotten way out of control, and I do lots of cardio and a little strength training everyday. It seems to be working well for me as I am not good to sticking to what others tell me to do. Thanks for letting me share my news.

Congrats on your weight loss. Youve lost about 24% of your body weight which is amazing... Way to go, your proof that it is possible and we can do it

i'm so jealouse but so happy for you!!! that is so awesome!!! keep up the good work. see....that's what i'm talking about. you don't have to pay someone lots of money to tell you what to eat. i firmly believe it's all about portion control. you can have anything you want as long as you watch how much of it you eat. of course, common sense tells us we can't have cake all day long as long as you don't consume more than so many calories because you would be hungry and end up eating too many calories. but you can have cake for desert if you want it as long as you are watching how much you eat during the day and not eat much cake.

way to go!!! that is awesome!!! I can't wait to hit the 40 pound mark. You've only got 14 more to go. I totally have faith that you can do it.

How long did it take you to hit the 40 pound mark??? It has taken me almost 6 months to hit the 25 pound mark. i figure i'll hit my 40 pound mark probaly in july.

My user name used to be 'tooround' .... the girls suggested I change it when I got my wieght down. And you my dear are no longer 'tofat' either!
Good Work!

Also, I'd like to emphasize that you found a system that worked for you. Brandy's Plan written by Brandy. Really ... that's good work!

Congratulations, Brandy!! So happy for you! Like SusanB suggested, perhaps you should change your user name since you are no longer fat.

Thank you everyone. I love the support and encouragement given here. Much better than the "real world"

Lady-I never figured that percentage out. It boggles my mind to think of that.

Lumi-It has taken me 4 months. I feel bad saying that. I know I've been able to lose my weight pretty easily compared to others. Part of what contributed to my gain was an injury that prevented exercise, and then surgery and recovery. Now that I am able to exercise again I went back to it big time. I actually love doing cardio.

Purplecrush-You're doing awesome! Cant wait to see your post when you hit 40!!

SusanB-I just PM'd to have my username changed. Thanks for the encouragement. I am SO happy that you commented on using my own plan because I have come to respect your opinion very much. Thank you.

awwwwwe don't feel bad....that is awsome!!! congratulations! I'm sure my weight loss would be faster if i changed a few more things in my diet and probably excerisized a little harder some days. but it's okay. i'm happy with my progress. I don't really mind losing one pound a week because i have not had to make drastic changes to my life. at least not yet. i'm sure there will be a few more changes to come in my future to continue to push the scales down but i'll take it one change at a time. i mean....i have all the time left in my life....right??!! I will hit my goal and that's what matters most. and i feel soooooo much better than i have in a long time.
