I was down a ridiculous 5 lbs - either my weight was off on Sunday, or it was off this morning - I know I didn't lose 5 lbs in 3 days.

I check every day really. I know, I shouldn't, but in the Prevention magazine, it said it was actually good practice. As long as you don't get depressed over the scale of course. I'm still the same thing, but Matante Rose (My unwelcome version of TOM) is here now, so it must be affecting my weight. So will have to wait one week before getting an accurate reading. But I'm pleased to still be the same thing. It's good news! It means I'm doing well.

I think weighing everyday keeps me motivated and my goals a reality! I am up 1 pound...YIKES! Not worried, though. I KNOW I will take it off!

As you said, don't worry about it Anita. Unfortunately, it's not because we reach our goal, that we no longer go up a pound once in a while. That's what maintenance is really. You try to maintain as much as possible. If your weight goes up, then you go back to weight loss and lose that pound again. Then, it's back to maintenance! I'm sure, you'll lose that pound quickly.

Hi Francine & Everyone,

Actually, there is research that supports daily weighing. Jorge Cruise changed his policy about this before I cancelled my subscription. It turns out that people who weigh in daily are actually slightly more successful on diets than are those who weigh in weekly. NOTE: I really believe is up to the individual. I have weighed in daily for most of my life. I have Weight Commander - you enter your weight daily & have a diet log + lots of other stuff. What I learned from it is how much your weight fluctuates. It's not the daily weights that are meaningful, it's the monthly ones. You can go up and down every day as long as every month you're down.

Well I am up by 1.5 lbs but with all the water (144oz) I drank yesterday I am not surprised. Unfortunately I am up almost 10 lbs from last month. I had seen 208-209 several times a week in late February early /march. No worries tho. I have done so well since Sunday I am thinking back on track. Lots and lots of veggies, yeah me

I've actually been way too lazy to go down the 2 flights of stairs to the basement to get to the scale.
