I am not sure I understand your question, exactly. Are you asking us what you should eat in order to lose 86 lbs.?

If you are asking if WW is better than counting calories....WW is counting calories. Points directly coorelate to calories, but also take into consideration fat and fiber. Lower point foods are lower in caloires, fat and higher in fiber, which is exactly what health experts recommed. WW though also promotes activity, a healthy lifestyle and when online or meetings are used you have a built in support system to increase your success. Those are things programsliek Fitday were missing, fitday is great for journaling food, but I missed the support.

Here's my opinion...
WW is better than counting calories for me, B/C I suck at math. The smaller numbers are far easier to contend with,

WW meetings a far better for me than online. I've done, online, attended meetings and tried to go it alone. I must sya the meetings are far supieror and well worth the money...for me.

I love the built in support of meetings, I may not want to go each week when I feel bad about my progress, but I always leave feeling better and glad that I went. I love the program and it works for me like nothing else ever has. It works when I work it. When I am not committed and I don' stick to the plan of course I gain.

Some people like counting calories, if it works for them GREAT!!!! But for me WW is the best program out there, and that's what counts what WORKS for you

Totally agree with you Misty. I used to count calories, but it became a pain to count even veggies. I love WW b/c it has a lot of freedom and I know I can eat all the veggies I want and don't need to count them.

Hi Everyone. I just joined WW last Monday and Im also seeking online support and hope this forum helps with that. I have been on WW before and got discouraged and quit, but not this time. The only way I will quit is if I go to 4 WW meetings and no loss and then I might get discouraged and quit. Im doing this because I want to be healthy. My doctor wants to put me on cholesterol medications (statins) and they are sooooo dangerous that I am so determined to lose this weight and exercise so I don't have to take the drugs. Looking forward to making some friends on this forum..barb

Hi barb! Welcome!
I have made my goal to do WW for the rest of my life. No quitting for me.

I went to town early this morning and had my cholesterol checked for the first time, well actually they drew blood - I won't know for a few days. My family is split by into two groups. Very overweight and fairly healthy (my mom, her dad, his siblings) vs skinny and health consious with sky high cholesterol and heart disease (my grandma, all her sisters, cousins, etc). I never made the skinny group, so I am assuming mine is fine. My dad and two of my first cousins have sever hypertension. Yikes - I feel like a walking time bomb here. Well, I guess I am just a bit nervous about testing for stuff, like I would rather not know. If it does turn out bad, I would rather just keep losing weight and exercising, than taking drugs. Right now the only pill I take is a vitamin pill.
