I'm 28, fairly new Christian, married, mom to almost 5 yr. old daughter-very spirited child.
Also mom to betta fish-Bo Bo, and hamster-Big Momma(ok..i'm her grandma)
and mom to dog-Sweet Pea.
I live in Ga, moved here from FL. end of November 2005.
Been a stay at home mom since the move...
otherwise..i've been working since i was 16.
I live in the North Georgia Mountains originally from Illinois, lived in Georgia since I was six, I have five sisters but, none are in Georgia! Looking for some companionship, motivation, etc. while losing weight!
Hey girls what kind of diets are ya doing? I start the 3 hour diet tomorrow!!! Need to lose 50 pounds in four months! Mini goal is 10 pounds by Easter! J
Life support, what a great idea. I could use a little of that myself! I know that all of us together with the Lord can conquer all sorts of problems in our lives. A friend of mine once gave me a book mark that said "Lord, please help me to remember that there is nothing that I can go through today that we cannot handle together." I try to remember that everyday! Right now, I'm trying to get over the I'm fat and ugly feelings. So hard sometimes...
I have been on Weight Watchers(3rd time i believe ) for 1 month now. Whenever i begin trying to lose weight, satan attacks me with all these thoughts and I really struggle. I was a bulimic for half of my life and i have really been struggling with it this past month. I could really use your prayers. Thanks so much.
I will be praying for you, and I will add you to our church prayer list. The power in God's people's prayers is phenomenal! The Lord wants us to be healthy, He wants us to be happy and at peace. You're right when you say satan tries to steal our joy. Fight it with everything you have, girl!
Babsy, please remember that fat women are beautiful women too! I truly believe that if we would all embrace this our weight loss would be so much more effective. You have a friend here fighting with Bulimia, why, we don't know, but so many involved in this deadly way of losing weight have been TAUGHT to see themselves as ugly if they don't look like the swimsuit model, the tv commercial, the magazine gal or a darn Barbie doll for that matter! They just take it a step farther and only see themselves as inferior. Now is the time to step up and say, I want to be healthy, I want to be able to do things I might have trouble with right now, but I am beautiful just the way I am! Remember, if you or anyone else doesn't like you as a chubby lady, being slender isn't going to make a difference!
