S/C/G: 236/135-140/More Fit

Height: 5'6"

Default Measurements

Hey gals. I was curious as to what your measurements are. Everyone's body is so different it's interesting to see at same weights, how different we can be. Oh and according to my scale I am 36% body fat (Gosh I wonder what I was at 190, wish I would have taken it then!!!).

Waist - 29.5
Hips - 40
Thighs - 23.5

Bust for me is too hard to measure, some people measure under the arm pits, some accross the middle, but I just got back to a 36C so I was very happy (although it's a little big, but 34C was too small and so was 36B, so who knows).

Anyway, just curious because I am dying to fit into single digit pants but I don't really know how many more inches I'll really need to lose. And I think that propotionally my thighs are big, but I don't really know. But I did try on a size 12 yesterday and it was too big, I was too scared to try the 10 though

Ummm...I'll have to measure myself...I've never done it before. But you should be very very close to a single digit size. When I got to 149 or so I was able to get comfortably into a size 8. I'm 5'4" and most of my weight is in my hips....let me dig up a tape measure and see what I am.
And don't be afraid to try on the 10...you look amazing in your myspace pic. I'm sure the size 8 or 6 or whatever you want is right around the corner!

*Okay my waist is 29.5 in
My Hips are 40 in
Thighs are 21 in

I'm having a hard time with the bust...

You know a good idea might be to go to a website of clothes you really like and look at their size charts. It might help some!
Good luck!

Oh I can help. I started at 143 w/ almost your measurements. 29 waist, 40 hips, 23 thighs. Now I'm 128 and 28 waist, 38 hips, 22 thighs. I can wear most size 8 jeans now. It only took me 2.5 months to lose 15 pounds. I'd say you probably need to lose 1 or 2 more inches off your hips and then you'll be in 8's. Of course, everyone's different, but because most jeans are lowrise and I've got quite a booty, there was no way I could wear them before.

With these measurements i'm a size 7/8.

Waist - 28''
Hips - 34.5''
Thighs - 22''

wow i shed an inch off my waist and .5 off my hips! woooo hoooo! Thanks for making me check.

I'm sure you will fit into a single digit soon no problem, but it all depends on your own body.

trnsfrmnreplace, I never realized your hips and waist could be less than ten inches apart -- does that make it hard to buy pants? I have the opposite problem; my waist and hips are sixteen inches apart. Anyway, I am 5'9 and 255, and my measurements are:

ribs, 37
waist, 36.25
hips, 52.50
thighs, 32.25 & 31

I went shopping today and actually got some cute clothes! I am only about 1.5 sizes above wearing Misses tops. Although, reading everyone else's posts, I don't think you were curious about numbers on the higher end of the scale. But I typed all this, so I am going to post it.

My hips and waist are less than 10" apart:
hips 41.5"
waist 37"
thighs 22"
It's just usually hard to find pants which don't have built-in hip pockets for people who need them..... I have little wings on the sides of my pants due to lack of hip!

ladyjames63 - I actually have an hour glass look still with those measurements, but my hips are more squared. I don't really need to buy any special jeans with pockets on the side or anything of the sort, normal ones look fine. My only problem is sometimes they can get too big in the waist and too snug on my hips.

Trns- It made my day that my waist is just a little bigger than yours. I think I am still stuck thinking I am as big as I used to be. I still totally see myself as overweight, and even writing that sentence to me feels weird because it implies that I am not overweight now, and to be honest I don't really know if I am or not. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you are my hero
