Default My Husband Vrs Me

For the first time in several years, 5'4 me weighs less than my 6 foot tall husband! We both just turns on my scale. I weighed in at 196.5, he was at an even 201. I would estimate that it's been about 15 years, more or less, since that was true. Also, I asked him if he thought I would reach my goal, and he said without hesitation that he did. At the rate I was going, he was certain. I also asked if he thought I would hit goal when I started, and he said that he didn't believe that I would get nearly as far as I have.

Sometimes I get hungry, and cranky. Sometimes it's fustrating that the progress seems so slow, and I wonder if I'll ever make any real headway into reaching my goals. Hitting a little milestone like this goes a long way into "this is all worth it" territory!

That's great! Way to go!
I can't wait for the day when my husband can pick me up or I can sit on his lap without squishing him!

My boyfriend started to eat healthy too when I did, and he told me he weighs 183, I was so relieved to figure out that I was less then him LOL. I will be super happy when there is at least 20 lbs difference between he and I Congrats on your success!

Congratulations! I can't wait for that to happen. Right now I'm about 5 pounds over my husband but he wants to lose another 10 pounds! Darn him! That means I gotta keep up.

LOL, I thought it was just me. When we started this, my dh weighed in at 226 (he is 6' 1"). I weighed in at 214 and am 5'5" (or 5'4", depending, I suppose, on how it is rounded by the measurer).

So -- now he is 220 and I am 192. Yipes, I don't want to get that close to his weight ever again. He loses weight by doing things like eliminating the half gallon of ice cream he used to eat every night.

Tealeaf, I certainly know how you feel. It was funny, but I didn't really think about it until I actually got close to my husband's weight, then my next goal became to weigh less than him. I had the same problem as someone else though and he can lose weight MUCH quicker than I can, without even really trying. So when he went down a little I figured it would just take me a little longer. I am now around 20/25lbs lighter than him and hoping to increase the gap. It is a wonderful feeling! I even went that little further and actually tried his pants on one day a couple of months ago. It was great that they fit! I had always thought he looked pretty skinny, so I knew I was on the way as well.

Enjoy the feeling! It truly does give you that added boost. (I also love that my husband can put his arms RIGHT around me now, and give me a really deep hug.)

Take care,

Zelma

I never thought about weighing less than my husband, but that's a wonderful goal to "secretly" strive for. Congrats to you for reaching such a wonderful milestone!

My dh is little and light, so it'll be a long time before I weigh less than him. But I can fit into his favourite jacket much to his disgust! He has skinny legs and alot of my weight is in my bum and thighs, so out top halves aren't alot different.

He can clasp his hands together around my middle now!!! And I have room to spin around. He loves doing this!

It's so good to have him sharing my success, and I am so glad you have a supportive hubby too Tealeaf
