Default I'm sick, what to eat?

searched for a thread on this and didn't find anything.

Been nauseated and vomiting for the first time in 8 months (since I started atkins). The old me would have grabbed some chicken soup and crackers but that's not an option. Now what? Any suggestions??

*ps* I just love you guys.

Hi I went to my fit day and i entered chicken broth and it has no carbs. You should try it with some chicken in it. Hope you feel better!

Lacey, I'm not sure I have any great advice but do feel for you. I was sick a couple weeks ago and NOTHING sounded good. Take care and get rest.

You poor baby! I'm just getting over shingles myself, and I know it's really hard to think low carb when you're sick ((hug)).

Broth is good, soft scrambled eggs, diet 7-Up, mashed cauliflower, a bite of some mild cheese, SF jello, maybe an Atkins shake? The Cafe Aulet (sp, sorry) tastes pretty good. Can you eat strawberries? A home made shake with cream, water, strawberries and ice might taste good. Really though, you don't need to make yourself eat if you don't have an appetite, just be sure to stay hydrated and take your vitamins if you can.

Take care, I hope you feel better soon.

Aww I hope you feel better. I agree broth will be good. I would just eat light. I am feeling a bit nauseous myself this evening.

I think the SF jello might be a good option too. I thought of it after I posted the first time. hope you are on the road to recovery.

becareful of the broth brand, alot of them have sugars.

sf jello sounds good, you're shakes you have been drinking should be alright too.

When I was sick, the last thing I wanted was atkins friendly food....so keep what ever you eat, nice and light. Something *soft* for your belly to digest.

Feel better soon!!

I have to agree with Robin....even if it's LC bread toasted. Making yourself better has to come first. The weight loss can be focused on after Feel better soon!

What usually helps me is a 32 oz glass of diet 7-Up with about 4 ounces of fruit juice in it.

I hope you feel better soon -- it's no fun being sick.
