Default How is everyone this fine Weds. 3/14?

So, how is everyone today? Is the sun shining where you are? Are the temps at least a little warm?

I'm getting spoiled. I walk in the house every night and hand DH my dirty dishes from lunch and my coat and he takes care of them. He's at the grocery store right now and then he's going to go home and clean the house and defrost chicken breasts to make me dinner tonight.

Yesterday he stained the cabinets in the kitchen to give them a new coat and he installed handles on all my cabinet doors and drawers.

Does anyone have fun plans for St. Patrick's Day? We are going to a couple's house who are Irish-American and they are cooking dinner.

My husband is not too handy around the house....wish he was. He tries but it gets very upsetting to everyone. We learn some new cuss words!!! lol

We are going to a St. Patties party with green beer, corn beef and the whole meal....I'll try to be good. Oh the husband cooking is from Ireland!!

Have a good time.

My dh is NOT handy around the house at all...Gosh I had to have the handy man come over to start the generator to be sure it would be ready for hurricane season.. He was here for about 30 seconds..he turned the generator on, pulled the rope thingy, the generator started ..that was that...and I paid him 30 bucks..
When my dh does try to fix something he usually breaks it..he tried to put training wheels on my son's bike..he enden up picking up the bike and throwing it about 30 feet which caused the frame to bend (this is from a man who has never raised his voice or a hand towards me or the children).

I will be assembling my niece's first two wheel bike. I watched her parents try to assemble an entertainment center ten years ago... I want her to survive her childhood!

My boyfriend and I are both handy and it makes for some very colorful debate about how things should be done. We are also both convinced that knowing how to fix something is reason enough to do it ourselves. We are considering our summer projects and it could get ugly... he wants a wood deck and I want a brick patio, for starters. We should just hire a landscaper- it's bound to be cheaper and less stressful to our relationship!

Well, it is actually Thursday, not Wednesday...I am a day behind! My DH is not handy, thus the handyman upstairs right now fixing a whole in our ceiling from where the toliet leaked a month ago! LOL. well tomorrow is St. Patty's Day and I have four pounds to go to meet mini-goal (highly unlikely) but not bad since I just started watching the food again on Monday. I am down two more pounds finally. As for St. P day...not sure...maybe I'll cook something Irish with DD since she is 1/2 Irish and I am Irish by marraige! I am not drinking sooooo...no green beer for me, but maybe green tea! I am glad to be back! Allie
