Arrow Week One ~ Steppin' up to Fitness Challenge

Okay ladies... here we go... Please use this basic format for ease and consistancy in viewing:

Sunday:
Monday:
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
Thursday:
Friday:
Saturday:

# of days at 10,000 steps or more =
Highest number of steps in one day =

Sunday Snippet:
4 Tips for Faster Walking Technique

Stand tall. No slouch in the shoulders, forward lean from the waist, or excess sway in your back. CUE: Keep your eyes on the horizon.

Focus on quicker, not longer steps. Yes, your stride does get longer as you walk faster, but that's shouldn't be your goal; let it happen naturally. Instead really concentrate on taking faster steps. CUE: Count how many steps you take in a minute; shoot for over 135.

Bend your arms. Bend our elbows at a right angle so your arms can swing more quickly; target a quick, compact arm swing. CUE: Hands should trace an arc from rubbing waistband at your hip on the back swing, to chest height (no higher) in the front.

Push off of your toes. Consciously push off the toes and generate as much boost at the end of each step. CUE: Feel like you're showing someone behind you the bottom of your shoe on every step.

Walk Healthy everyone! Remember to stretch after you walk!

No - No I did not.

As stated in the original aforementioned thread, post#24:
Quote:
Then on Sunday I will make a new thread and each subsequent Sunday I will do the same. Otherwise I fear this thread will become absolutely unruly... We should try our best to keep the weekly threads strictly for our walking journals - chit chat about the challenge here and questions here etc...
This means that each week we will have a new thread. So... for last week we had a pre-challenge warm-up sort of thing that didn't really count.

This week, therefore, is week one. Hence the name of this thread: Week One ~ Steppin Up to Fintess Challenge. Next week's thread will be called "Week Two ~ Steppin' Up to Fitness Challenge" and so on and so forth.

Sunday: left it at home - but sat around most of the day between church, church class and Super Bowl party

Monday: left it at home again - hate the one I have - buying a new one at lunch - but did 2.5 miles on the treadmill so should have enough steps.

Tuesday: 9,295 steps

Wednesday: 10,717 steps

Thursday: 13,173

Friday: I'm home sick today and I'm spending the day either on the couch or part of it at the computer - not much walking for me.

Saturday:

# of days at 10,000 steps or more =
Highest number of steps in one day =
