Default Thursday - Ground Hog Day!

Good Morning! It is Thursday and this week is winding down! Bobby is feeling better, I sent him to school. No fever but still said he had a headache. Hmmm, maybe he just wanted another day off?? It is an early dismissal day, so he only has to hang in there until 12:20, so he should be fine.

I did 30 minutes on the life cycle yesterday while Robert was in the therapy pool. I should have done the treadmill, but I couldn't find enough energy. At least I did 30 min of cardio. Robert goes back to the doctor on Mon. We are pretty sure he will get the okay to drive, which means back to work for me, no treadmill or life cycle at therapy. I need to get serious with my plans to join Bally's next to Michelle's dance school. I can NOT stop doing at least 30 min of cardio 3 times a week. In fact, I need to build on that! That will be a Feb goal - to join and follow through with my exercise! It is important for me to take the time for myself to do that. No excuses, no putting everyone else before me! This is HUGE for me, so wish me luck!

I will take Robert to work about 9 and then head into the office. Bobby has pitching practice at 3, so I need to be home by 2:30. Dinner will either be veal stew in the crock pot or take out sandwiches. Depends how long I stay on here and whether or not I get to the crock Pot!

Thats it for me today. What's happening with you?

TTFN- Sharon

Going to church for a MOMS group meeting. They are having a "Thrift Store" fashion show. Taking my 2 daughters with me. DS is babysitting a son of another mother, who also homeschools. Last month I did really well and limited my food to a few bites since it falls around my morning snack time. I plan on doing the same today.

Then back home to lunch (stir fry. I am looking forward to that. I had a sandwich yesterday. It was too busy for stir fry)....and school work/record keeping.

Painting some trim and doors..finishing up a remodeling job. We just moved here in July.

Hopefully, I will stick to my guns and get on my treadmill....I will....I will ...I will do this! Before the painting...the painting can wait.

Then prepare dinner---some kind of baked chicken.

Doing the domestic goddess stuff today and then making up my buckets for work tomorrow. Then I'm setting time aside just to cross stitch.
So that rodent saw his shadow this morning which means 6 more weeks of winter. Course we've have a very mild January for Michigan. Suppose to get cold this weekend, should make those football fans happy.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Well - not for nothing, but regardless of what the groundhog sees or predicts the first day of Spring is March 20th... what do you know? Six weeks away just about... so... No matter what winter is here for six more weeks. Now - how mild it will be is another story. I never understood groundhog day. All I know is it is my mother's birthday, LOL.

Trying to get caught up with work today - I have one of those odd little piles of nit picky nonsense that has to be finished. Must work on that. Will pop in to see you fine gals later on!

Today my son becomes a teenager! It is a bittersweet day...I chased him around yesterday to try and pick him up one last time...wouldn't let me. Oh well...hopefully work will stay quiet today. I really need to unravel a bit cause I am as tight as a spring. Tonight we will have tacos...not really looking forward to it...it is such a mess...but that is one of his favorite meals.
Hope everyone has a great OP (on program) Day!!!

Today is pretty good. My kids are feeling better, I slept last night, and I got through the hard time. Now I need to CLEAN! And run errands. And buy a new dryer. Whew. Now I need a nap! Talk to you all later.

Hello, all!

I decided to switch to a diet I know I can follow and have had success with in the past but am hoping it's OK to stick with you guys for the exercise challenges and support?

I wanted to share a really neat idea I read on the Bally Fitness website today:

Feel your losses. If you have lost 5 pounds, pick up 5-pound weights and carry them around with you for an hour. This will allow yourself to have a tangible sense of how much weight you've lost. You are doing a great job. Keep up the hard work!

Man, maybe that will keep me from "rebounding"... I've lost half a pound since I got back from vacation. Guess it wasn't jet lag...

Have a great day all! I may consider doing some groundhog hunting...

Hi everyone. Looks like Donald might get home tomorrow. Doctors have decided on lymphedema - through process of elimination. Now, I'm looking for an OT who knows about this & will come to our home for the therapy.

Take care,

Lynn

Afternoon everyone!

Lafayette, I also have read that you should take sticks of butter when you have lost 5 lbs and see how much fat that really is. It makes it a little gross.

I'm not hungry. I sat here with a plate of salad for lunch and could only eat about 1/2 of it. If I eat any more, I will barf.

Kind of boring around here at work today - everyone is traveling. I'm just counting the minutes until 5:00 p.m. I might even leave a few minutes early since no one is here to care.

I'm trying to find someone to install ceramic tile on my kitchen counters and my bathroom floor and I'm having no luck -- I have another guy coming by tonight to give me a quote and look at it.

I have tile on my kitchen counters.........I love it. I used the larger tiles and they have a granite look to them.....just make sure you seal the grout well in case of spills.

Marcie you must be feeling better if your in a cleaning mood.......come visit me, my place needs a good cleaning! lol

Lynn happy for you that Donald is getting home. That will be a big relief for both of you. Sitting at hospitals is no fun.

Yes, what diet works best for you Lafayette? Of course we want you to stay, we would come find you if you left us!!! I am not quite on the 3 hr. diet either, I do the timing and the water. I would be lost without this group.
You can still do the challenges with us and share any good diet ideas.

I love it Daisy a 5 yr. old who says it is too messy!!!!! You gotta love it!!!!
