Good Morning!

Taz ~ Congratulations again on GB#5. Such a pretty name, too.

Heather ~ I hope you are getting a good night's sleep! How's your little guy doing? Both girls I nanny were sick this past weekend with bad colds and the older one has "pink eye", so I wouldn't be surprised if Maggie gets it, too. It can really wear you out when they're miserable. Thank goodness they were both feeling a little better yesterday. I hope your DS is better soon, too.

I'm just waiting for Curves to open so I can get my workout done for the day. My W&M yesterday was OK, but I lost more in inches than weight. I was hoping for a big weight loss since I was so good on Phase 1, but I only lost 5 lbs. I guess that's not really too bad. At least I took off the lbs I gained over the holidays!

Mornin' fellow chicks. Taz, one of the best ways to get through the snow is to imagine hittin' the beach! Keep working on that tan! Cottage - congrats on taking off the holiday weight!!!!!

I haven't been OP for the past couple of days, so it's time to get back on track. Lots and lots of water today. My goal for the day is to walk by the boxes of Girl Scout cookies at work today...and just keep on walking!

Everybody have a great day!

Good morning Taz, Cottage, and Jana!

Taz Congrats again! Babies are so awesome.

Jana Back away from the Thin Mints!!!

Cottage Thanks for the sweet comment this weekend about my avatar. I do love these girlies even though the oldest DD is testing my patience at every single turn. I just keep telling myself that she will be an assertive woman one day- something I am not!

Weekly WI for me this morning. I don't get to move my ticker because I maintained. I am actually fine with that as I didn't have the best food week and TOM hit yesterday. At least there is a reason for my weekend irritability!

Already- I need to get coffee and get these girls woken up. Always a treat at 5:45 in the morning! At least the baby is always glad to see me.

Tazcat - is it warming up over there?

cottage - yes, I was sleeping - for a change! Went to bed around 10 and slept about 4 hours or so. DS is better; still gooky-eyed, but not so badly. The thing that threw me off was that he doesn't really have a very bad cold - just some sniffling and a little drip. Ah well, at least he's getting over it.

Jana - yay on the water! I have a hard time getting enough water - I just forget to drink it, even when it's right there next to me.

Kiko - if only they could stay little and smiley!

Ruth - I'd say that hopefully life will return to normal for you soon, but then I realized that I'm not even sure what that is for you! Hopefully things will quiet down soon, at least!

loving mommy - that's awful! Did your DH find his wallet? Hopefully he didn't have much in it?

me - homework and housework as usual today. My eating hasn't been too good the last couple days. I've had some pretty bad tummy pains and bloating, not sure why. I've tried to eat OP, but it makes my tummy feel worse when I do. So I've been eating a lot of starchy things (which don't seem to upset my tummy). I did manage to eat a wee-small-hours snack of some steamed broccoli and green beans, which are the first veggies I've been able to tolerate in a couple days. I made Greek salad last night with spinach and cukes and low-fat feta and so on, but I ate just a few bites before I started to feel worse again. I'm not really feeling much better yet, so I don't know how today will go. "One day at a time, Ethel, I take it one day at a time."

Mornin'! Well, ladies, I was good at the restaurant yesterday. I had a salad w/ light ranch dressing and grilled shrimp w/ veggies. Yummy! It felt good to come out of a restaurant not feeling all bloated and yucky. Today will be a busy day. I have both my classes today and one of them runs until 8:15 so I'll come home later to put something in the crockpot for dinner.

I spent sooo much money yesterday shopping w/ my friend. I think I'm going to return this jacket and purse I bought at LaneBryant. I don't know! It's a $70 jacket that I got for $20 but it's slightly too big for me. The smallest shirt size they have there usually doesnt fit since my body is so disproportionately humungous on the lower half. The purse is so cool bohemian style with jewels all over it. It was only $20 too...1/2 off. Plus I got a pair of pants that are too tight on me but are funky and only $12 so I will keep them as my inspiration pants . They had some great sales there!

Kyemom: My reunion w/ my dog went great. Thanks for asking. The first day she was a little disoriented but has since settled back into her usual naughtyness ! How's your puppy doing?

taz: STay warm in the snow. It's supposed to snow here tomorrow and I will be out in the woods for my research. How fun, I'm looking forward to it. I love the snow.

cottage: 5 lbs is great! Good for you!

jana: I'm sending you good will power vibes today :vibes: ! ! Keep truckin' right past those evil cookies.

kiko: Better to maintain than gain! You'll show a loss next weekend...I borrowed Schatzi's crystal ball to check for ya!

Loving: Good luck on P1. You'll feel great. Keep it up.

H-ko: Glad to hear that your baby's doing better. How are you holding up with your classes? Are they online classes?

Have a great day everyone! Stay OP!!

pearshape - yes, they are online classes, but it looks like this is probably the last quarter I'll be able to take my classes online as the math, science, and engineering classes I need to take now are not offered online. I loved my online classes, too....

Morning all!
Went for a nice long walk last night in the rain. As a native of Seattle I don't let rain stop me from walking. Other than that things are going pretty good. I'm really pumped to stay OP now that I've passed the 5lb mark.

Here's to a great day everybody!

Taz - Babies are so wonderful. Congratulations!

cottage - Five pounds is a good loss for phase 1. And the loss of inches is great!

Jana - We're still in the ordering Girl Scout cookie stage. I made sure to order the kinds my DH and Brian really like and not the ones I love the most so hopefully I can avoid them.

Kiko - Your girls are beautiful! TOM started for me yesterday too. At least I did make it to the gym.

ruth - See you later!

loving mommy - Sorry about the loss of the wallet. That must have really been upsetting.

Heather - I felt like that a few weeks ago. Lots of gas and bloating. GasX helped, I think, but I mostly had to just wait it out. At first I thought it was from increasing my cruciferous veggies so much but I ended up deciding it was a virus since DH and Brian had something similar. Just eat what you can.

Morning, Schatzi and Kyemom

pearshape - Good going at the restaurant.

me - I'm working from home today. I'm fixing a wonderful phase 2 lamb stew for dinner. It cooks for several hours and tastes so good! Tonight is a den meeting so I probably won't be able to make it to the gym but at least I got there for an hour last night.

I'd so love to go to the gym this morning but my little Calvin's nose won't stop running, so that means I need to wait 'til DH comes home...hopefully I'll still be motivated!!

I spent last night scouring the recipes board here and checking out all the phase 1 recipes. Boy am i excited to start cooking. Tnight we'll be having chinese. Hot and Sour soup, unwrapped dumplings, ginger chicken stir-fry...yummmmmmyy

haven't cheated at least I don't think I have so I'm feeling pretty good here on day 4.

seachick - just watch out for mudslides!

barb - I think you're right. It's certainly not from increasing my intake of crucifers - I've loved crucifers all my life and eat them in plentiful quantities.
