Question Calling Dr. Daisy

Ok here is the chicken pot pie receipe.....see if you can do this one....I looked on Campbells site and it didn't have the breakdown.

2 cans (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell'sŪ Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup
1 pkg. (about 9 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables thawed (about 2 cups)
1 cup cubed cooked chicken breast
1/2 cup milk (1%...I used)
1 egg
1 cup reduced fat all-purpose baking mix Bisquick

serves 6

this is so good & good looking my dh couldn't believe I made it....I cut the chicken in almost perfect squares with my new knives I got for Christmas and it was golden brown .... he thought I bought it frozen....

Thanks for trying.....Phyllis

Okay - here is my methodology:

I take each ingredient and determine the following for the amount used in the recipe: Calories, Protein, Fat, Carbs, Fiber. Then I add it together and divide by number of serving sizes. I do not round off until the end. For this recipe, per serving:

Calories 236.5
Protein 12.5
Fat 6.25
Carbs 30.5
Fiber 2.75

All in all I would say that this recipe is not OP as is because it is too high in fat and carbs - you would also need to add protein to your meal... adding not so much of a problem - cutting the fat... hmmm - maybe egg beaters, skim milk... carbs are nearly twice as many as you should have. Maybe make the rest... leave out the egg and the bisquick... pour over 1/2 english muffin or whole weat toast - like a like versin of chicken ala king? It is not without merit and it does sound yummy... but to stay OP you will likely need to modify...

Ok, I could use skim milk and egg beaters. In my serving I only had a small amount of the crust so that wasn't a problem. You get such a little bit of chicken it can't be real high in protein there.

I will make it again as my dh loved it....but with the changes.

Thanks for your help...I will put it on the receipe.

I have some ideas - let me see if I can boost that protein at all...

My idea flopped - if I think of anything I will definitely let you know -= this sounds sooooo yummy!
