If one of the WW entrees offers rice and veggies, they give you a double portion of veggies instead. So I had a shrimp skewer, a steak skewer and a big helping of roasted veggies- all Core. I am addicted to the French Onion Soup (3 pts) and I also had the chocolate dessert (4 pts). Yum!

Yes, I saw this on the bottom of an applebee's menu--they will sub core-friendly items on most of their WW offerings.

Have you had the raspberry cheesecake? Yummy!

Thanks! I haven't posted any, since they aren't really anything special, KWIM? Since starting Core I've taken my cooking back to basics- no casseroles and such just yet. I've been doing a lot of baked chicken and fish, and thanks to some unseasonably warm weather, we've been grilling steaks outside too. The fish I just cover with some salsa (try Newman's Own Pineapple Salsa- yum!) and bake as directed. The chicken usually just get a spray of EVOO and some Mrs. Dash. I steam veggies with chicken broth. If you can find it, Swanson's makes some with garlic, onion and other seasonings in them. Whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce makes for a nice quick dinner- I just add a salad with FF dressing to mine. That's all I can think of right now. This week I'm going to make a crockpot soup- spicy chicken and beans. So far it looks all Core, so I'll post that one when I get a chance. Nice for a cold day, and easy since everything goes in the crock!

My kids don't usually eat the same stuff, other than the pasta. Matt will eat the chicken, but only off the grill. But for now, I'll deal with it. I need to handle my own issues with food, then I'll deal with theirs LOL!

Maria, thanks for the info about your menus. That's great info. So you are just sticking with the basics for now? I think that's a great way to do it, to be honest. I know I have to add some "spice" to my menu, but if you could eat like you have described all of the time, you would have great success--as you have! Congrats on how well you have done.

Yeah, I'm not well versed enough to start branching out too much, plus my husband is on wacky hours at work, so I like to make stuff that can be easily reheated. I saw a new WW cookbook when I got weighed in yesterday, and I might try that for some new ideas as well as the links here.
