Talking Wednesday Chat, January 11th

Happy Hump Day

How is everyone doing today? Its a gray day in Jersey, cloudy and we are expecting rain, which is okay because I really don't want sshhhhhsnow.

I'm doing okay with eating and yesterday I did get my butt on the dreadmill. I did 15 minutes, which is alot for this old fart.

And you ?

It is snowing here.........not too cold....can't complain for a canadian winter.
My mouth is a bit sore but not as bad as the 3 plus hours in the chair.
I will be cleaning today and then my daughter has a friend coming over...so that will be my exercise for today.........though I do need to formally introduce myself to the treadmill....my 14 year old does an hour just about every day.........dd 7 doesn't like to be left out so she does some too.....along with DDR..........hubby has been on almost every day too......
The curse has arrived so I am feeling good and sorry for myself today.

Back later.

Welcome to the newest members of our little piece of the 3 f c world.........looking forward to getting to know you.

good morning gang

WELCOME TO ALL OUR MANY NEWBIES! just jump in and join all the fun!

Liz - I am so glad to hear that you survived the 3 hour root canal. My goodness I figured your mouth and jaw would really be soar today. I've gotten to where I hate going to the dentist also. Seems like I'm always fixing a tooth. I just pray that I can skip having to have any root canals. Sounds like you have a busy day planned.

Leenie - congrats on treadmilling

I didn't get up in time to get my walking in so I'm sure I'll really be draggin by the end of the day.

Oh Liz - you asked about those that worked - what they do. I am a secretary/bookkeeper for a General Contractor, which was a really nice job until Hurricane Rita tore up south Louisiana but honestly I really love my job it's just crazy right now with the extra chaos from the storm and all the paperwork for quarterlys, and yearend stuff like W-2s, 1099s - ya know fun stuff. Also, it's extra crazy bec I have 2 other places that I do the same paperwork for.

Sooooooooo I'm gotta get back to these stacks of paperwork.

Hope everybody has a BLESSED day!

hugs,
Cathy

Hi everyone. Welcome to all the new members. You've come to a great place.

Leenie, you and I are at the same place on the exercise. I don't have a dreadmill, but I do have an exercycle that I need to introduce myself to. That or the Gazelle.

Liz, I'm so sorry about the root canal. Sounds like you're recovering a day later. Yesterday's fun sounds like torture. About those that work, I'm a database manager/webmaster for a school district. Mostly it's a good job - I have a 200 day contract so I get a month off during the summer and every other Monday, Christmas break, spring break plus a few scattered in days off. Right now is my slow time so I'm a little bored.

Cathy, if you don't exercise everyday, can you feel it? sorry you didn't get your walking in this morning.

Good news is that after 2 weeks of my obnoxious cold, I'm starting to feel better. A little more energy and desire to do something. I'm still coughing and a little congested, but definitely improving. YEAH!!!!

Last night I worked on a sweater. I finished knitting the sleeve and started the cuff ribbing. Tonight I'm going to finish the cuff and start the facing. Plus I'm going to get on the exercycle, even if it's only to sit on it while I watch TV

Well, back to work. Talk to you all later.

I am so thankful that I feel good today that I cleaned all morning! How satisfying! Things are fresh and clean around here.
Thanks for sharing your jobs with me.
Does anyone get the flu shot? I got it.......

Happy Wed!

Things are good here. Had a rather disapointing yoga class this morning, but other than that, things have been going fairly well. Started on a scarf for my boy friend's sister, and I'm planning a weekend get away to one of my friend's place in Baltimore

Hey Everybody!

Things are looking better today. The day started rainy, but the sun was out by 9:00. It was really just gorgeous. I was bad and took a nap instead of walking with Leslie like I told myself I would. Stayed up too late last night whining to you guys, then had to work today.

Getting kids ready to head off to church stuff for the evening. They are of course driving me crazy. Just par forthe course. Anyway, Wednesday is usually a fun nite for me. I don't have to cook 'cause we eat at church, and I get to play with my handbell choir. Fun, fun.

Hey Erin, what was wrong at your yoga class? Since I teach a class I always wonder about people's perceptions of it. Just curious.

No miles or minutesto log for today. But as Scarlett O'Hara said "Tomorrow is anutha day."

I learned something yesterday in the sewing room! Don't lean too far forward/sideways on a desk chair on a plastic mat. The chair tipped and slid and I landed on my butt! The bad thing is I hit my head HARD on the table and I have a knob on it now. It doesn't hurt but I discovered some muscles I didn't remember!

I'm making another rice bag. This one is like a bib only it's worn backward with the heated part on the back. I lovelovelove rice bags as they're so nice and warm. Just don't heat them too long cause the rice burns and stinks.

The Roger person requested soft molasses cookies so I mixed it all up and tomorrow I'll bake them. No, they're not low fat or low calorie.

Nothing new...weather is too warm...I saw a fly yesterday. At this rate, we'll see robins soon.!

Unhappy

Hi All...... I really should start joining the post earlier in the day....... or..... maybe I should just wait a little bit longer and start one for the next day! LOL

I had an ok day today. My son was up until midnight last night (I had misplaced his sleep meds ) and I was decreasing one of his ADHD meds today so I let him sleep in which made him late for school and me late for work.

I did really good with my food today until after dinner. I had bought Cole some donuts (remember, I am fattening him up) and of course I broke down and had one..... one good thing though is that it was only 1!

I have a Dr's app't tomorrow where I am going to ask about possibly changing my meds --- after reading on here last night I am really wondering about staying on Celexa!

Tomorrow is a weigh-in day and here's hoping that it is a positive!
