My name is Kirsten. I had been doing pretty good with my weight loss until two weeks ago. I really need some daily motivation and help. I am looking for someone that will pray for my weight loss sucess and for someone who I can pray for your weight loss sucess. I am 23 years old. I have been married for 4 years. I weigh 185 and my goal is 125.
Heather I would love to be weight loss buddies with you!!! Thank you! I started out at 253, 3 years ago. I wish I had stuck with it then I would have been at my goal weight by now. But I have never gone back up to that weight. I know you can do it too! Are you dieting, exercising, or both? I follow a low carb diet and I try to exercise at Curves 3 days a week. I sure fell off the bandwagon the past two weeks though! I got really sick with bronchitis and asthma, the doctor put me on a liquid steroid for my asthma and all I wanted to do was eat and eat! Especially with all the Christmas food everywhere. But I am finally feeling better now. And I am ready to get strict again. I am really looking forward to getting to know you and praying for you. Oh can I join this one too!!! I'm 25, and have been married for almost 3 yrs....no kiddos yet... I'm struggling to lose 15-20 LB's....hopefully by the end of the year. What programs are you all using?? I am somersizing...alot of people I know have had success with it....
Hi, I just joined yesterday, and I would like to participate. I am 35. I have a 9 year old and a 2 year old. I've been married for almost 15 years (Feb. 1) My weight problem began when I gained 60 lbs. with my first son. My weight has yo yo' ed a little over the years due to depression, emotional eating, etc... I am sick of it. I am tired of trying again tomorrow. A man at church a few weeks ago made me realize that I can't do it on my own. He said, "If your car were stuck in the mud, you couldn't get it out by yourself. You wouldn't have any problem asking for help. Everyone's big problem is that they think, me, me, me. God tells us he wants us to lean on him, so why can't we? Why do we always think we have to do it on our own?"
I have looked into "weigh down" and "first place" christian weight loss programs. I found a book yesterday called, "Let's Do lunch." I have decided to combine the ideas in "Let's Do Lunch" with daily devotionals that I found in one of the first place books called, "A New Creation." I know all about nutrition, it is the self control issues that have always got the best of me.
Anyway, I have babbled on, but would love to have friends and faith to lean on.

Of course! I know you can loose 15-20 pounds by the end of the year! I hope to loose that by March! LOL I am doing low carb dieting and exercise. What are you doing?

I just joined as of five minutes ago, just started my journey for the millionth time today. I also would like to have a buddy to keep me accountable. I have two children, 2 years and 5 months. I was nursing the 5 month old until just about two weeks ago or so when I discovered I just wasn't producing enough...so now I'm ready! I had lost all of my pregnancy weight with the second one, but I think I've gained about 5 lbs since then. I need to loose the weight I gained with the first one still, plus I was overweight when I got pregnant with her. I need all the help I can get!
I am glad that I am not the only one struggling. I, too, gained most of my weight with my first one. I gained 90 pounds with him and after both pregnancies, only lost 30. Anyway, I am wanting to lose 70 by next Christmas so I can be a young, cool, hip Mom. Does anyone know of online devotions biblically based for Dieters. I like to do my other devotions in the morning and then read email so I thought I could subscribe to a devotion to be in my "inbox" every morning. Anyway, glad you are all here.
