It was 21 degrees down by me (but who can believe the weather channel)?

Sooooo is there anyone to talk to today? I had a mixed-bag weekend, lots of irritation from my daughter and decided i wouldn't allow her to ruin my free time, so I bounced back quickly. (Amazing thing for me not to go into a complete downward spiral--so all those years of psycho-wisdom appts. must be working?)

hopefully, this week will smooth out (coming back to work after 6 weeks out is hard) and I can start moving again....I really do miss my morning workouts.

Default Good morning ladies!

Cold weather...I remember it well!

Marble: I hope you have a great day at work. It's good to see you here again! Good for you handling the situation with your daughter. I went through a lot of heartache with my son before I finally understood..I can't change him, so I have to just live my life and not let his behavior get me down.

Leenie: Stay warm! How's been treating you?

Have a marvelous Monday

good morning gang (even tho it is almost lunchtime)

welcome Rayne! it's nice to meet you!

Leenie - were you on your way to work?

Marble - it is so good to see you posting! this is your first day back today? or later in the week? how are you feeling? I'm glad you are back!

Hey Joanne - of course we have been missing you! I am thrilled to hear about your christmas present from your son - his GED! I can't think of anything that would mean more for you! We really don't know if ds's job with UPS is temporary or permanent. We think they hired about 10 people or so, and that hopefully they will be able to keep some of them after the holidays. I guess actually it would be considered temporary right now, but we are hoping it will turn into a permanent job. I will let you know as soon as we know. Maybe we'll know something after the first of the year.

It's nice and cool here today. Really nice weather. Only gonna get up to about 55 so that is really nice for down here. Gotta run to the mall during lunch and pick up 2 christmas presents that I could not order on line without paying huge shipping fees.

Hope everybody has a blessed day!

hugs,
cathy

I'll take that 55 degrees....anytime over the snow!

I started back to work last week, but have been digging through piles on my desk. I'm not 100% but doing better

thanks for the warm wishes and encouragement! I bounce back faster every time...although I still question the lack of common sense and maturity from the little darling...but it's no longer her manipulatation game either.

Hi everyone,

Oh your words of wisdom were really right on this morning. My kids (19 and 20) are really making me mad and I'm trying to let it go. It's their life, I try to tell myself, but I'm so resentful of their stupid choices. So marble and Joanne, thanks for he words of wisdom - I can't change them and I can't let it run my life.

I'm at work and having a great time... HA!!!!! Fooled you.

Tonight is my final drawing class. We're going to do self-portraits. Would it be wrong to eliminate all the unwanted fat????

My parents called me at work (they live in MN and I live in OR) and said they wanted to give me an early Christmas present. They're flying me home for a wee before Christmas because they could hear how upset I was with my kids when I talked to them this weekend. So I guess I'm going on a little jaunt to MN. It will be good because my mom just came home from the hospital after surgery. So I'm excited to get away and see them.

Well, back to work.
Marie

Marie:

Every time I extend the "olive branch" to my daughter (she's 24 going on 14), she snatches it out of my hand and slaps me across the face with it.

I truley think she thrives on conflict....I can see (after she's avoided visiting me for almost 11 months though she lives 5 miles away), that she's very unhappy with herself (and thinks it my fault)....I've tried to "make nice" for the holidays (for my 86 YO mother's sake), but the kid just makes me ITCH! She's deliberately antagonistic for no reason....
C'est la vie, it's her decision to act like an idiot...

Cathy, I see you have steadily dropped wt. since i've been gone, congrats! I can't wait to be able to exercise again!!!! i really miss it!

Marble, you always make me smile. I sure am glad you're back on the board. I've definitely missed you.

Cathy, the fat will be gone. I will draw myself a thinner me.

Today was the first day of a month vacation for me. Woot! I have been feeling great on these meds. No downer days, but I had one blah day. I attended a program at church tonight with my 4yo son and let me tell you that Jesus was on his side. Since I don't have to work, I am doing my workouts in the morning as soon as I drop the kiddo off at school and I can take my time and not feel rushed. Hope everyone stays warm!!!
