Red face Has this happened to you??

The more I lose the more critical and sick I am of my disgusting body. When I was wearing a size 22, I thought nothing of donning a huge pair of shorts and going out and now, when I can wear 16's, the cellulite on my legs makes me embarassed and I haven't gone out in public in shorts.

Is this normal???

I still have 50 lbs to go before I hit goal, does the cellulite go away or would I have to have surgery to have it removed??

Where I used to have humongo legs, I now have a hump of fat on the outside of my hips, it's so embarassing I usually wear a shirt long enough to cover it.

I'm not trying to complain, I'm happier than ever that I'm losing weight and I feel awesome, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if you ever get over it?

thanks

I know from a previous weight loss attempt that my body changes a lot, and it's not all good. When I'm heavy, it's smoothly rounded over the hip down to the knee, but when I loose my hips narrow and I have saddlebags at the outside top of my thighs. When my belly is full of fat it's rounded, and my breasts are fuller and less saggy. The wrinkles on my face aren't as apparent when they're fluffed out with fat either. So yeah, it's happened to me, and I hope it'll happen again soon. The difference this time is that my expectations won't be so unrealistic - I thought I'd look the same, just smaller, but that only happens if I lost weight evenly, and I don't. I don't have cellulite, so I don't know about that one.

(((hugs)))

Oh YES
The saddlebags!! SIGH! I am definitely more consious of how clothes fit me! And it is very annoying, I think surely I am skinnier I should feel happier in my clothes.
My bust is also bad! my DH says I have fried eggs! and that sux!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the flabby skin on the belly SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think after a while it doesn't bother me as much! I even have been saying I will save some money and if I keep the weight off for a year I will allow myself a tummy tuck, or lipo on the saddle bags or breast augmentation.
SHEEESH if only I knew earlier that getting fat would cause horrendous physical problems, maybe I would not have gone there!!!!!!!

You are not alone

I know once I hit goal weight and maintain for awhile, I plan on looking into liposuction if needed like NEXT fall that way I wont have visible effects from it (bruises) from wearing shorts/capris. I think I may need it around my hip/thigh area but you never know what your body will look like at goal until you are there....just be happy like you said that you are loosing, and you can work with what you end up with when the time is right.
