Default exercising being a pain in the tush!

I kinda wonder if anyone has experienced tail bone pain with exercising?
Its like a harsh pain but yet its pressure.. Hubby laughs at me when I tell him it feels like its coming through the skin!

Did you fall? What kind of exercising are you doing? Does it only hurt when you exercise?

I don't think that any "bad" pain while exercising is something to laugh about. I think that "working through it" can lead to serious problems if there is something really wrong. This might be a case where you would do better to talk to a doctor than a bunch of internet gurus, no matter how well informed they might be.

When I do certain ab exercises on the floor or seated I feel my tailbone. It can be uncomfortable but usually isn't a pain. When I mention it to my boyfriend he just tells me I'm getting too bony. If it persists I would agree with the others to talk to someone knowledgeable.

Congrats on the weight loss by the way! You are doing great.

Okay -- this is only MY experience and may not at all be yours, but I wanted to out it out there because I had never before heard of this when it happened to me. WHen I started jogging at 19 yrs. old, I got the exact same symptoms and remember even saying that it felt like my tailbone was poking out. It ended up being a pylonidal cyst, which I let go until it was the size of a grapefruit and had to be surgically removed. It was a very painful, awful experience. I encourage you to WALK, don't RUN, to a dr. about this immediately. Most p.cysts, when not inflamed, are missed upon exams, though, so you might want to journal triggers, feelings, redness, etc. Also, go in when it hurts. I hope it is NOT this, but I wanted to let you know the symptoms sound familiar.

Mel~ Well, I have fell before but its been a couple years back (flight of stairs on the tush amazing I am bouncy).
Would a chiropractor be able to check for that p cyst, Irishgreen? My MD doesnt see me often (next appt isnt until beginning of December) and we are not on good terms right now.
I can tell you this much about the pain it didnt start until about 1 month of calistenics, yoga, and pilates. Its just really sore to sometimes even sit down. Walking doesnt bother it at all, but stuff like squats put pressure there. Jogging, yes I notice hard pressure down there...

Lizzbabe~ I kinda agree with that.. sometimes it just feels like its just really bony, but raw from irration lol.. thanks for the congrats!

It was actually a chiro who diagnosed me. I went to him with the tailbone pain and he diagnosed it, sending me to another dr.
