Default Help! Need Ideas on What to Eat!!

I just started and need ideas on what to eat.

I have 3 young boys and a meat/potato husband who is also a cattle farmer.

Any ideas for meals/snacks will be appreciated.

You didnt mention if you were doing Flex or Core?

Basically you can continue to eat with your family. You simply watch the portions and look up the points. You can easily add more fruits and veggies that you and the entire family like. The closer you come to learning the point value and eating with your family .the more likely you will be to be satisfied with the plan. No ones likes to make separate meals or cook two different meals. Weight Watchers is about LifeStyle changes...you will naturally find ways to reduce points in favorite foods and you dont even have to mention it to your "meat & potatoes" man! (although it is hard not to "brag" about our recipe changes)

Start with your basic foods and look them up ahead of time. Plan so you can enjoy the main meal with your guys!

I am sure you will do fine!

Good Luck!

I also am married to a cattle breeder. It is not easy, but then again it is doable. What I did at first is switch the family over slowly. I would add three dinners of WW food, then slowly I would add a meal a week. There are times they (I have three boys) would all crave junk food and I would cook chili cheese dogs for them. I still freeze individual steaks for my husband, I used to freeze a chicken serving for me. That is just too much work. So now I make ahead turkey chili and stew, I put points on it. So while I am grilling his steak I am cooking my dinner.

I know it sounds like a lot of trouble, but slowly you get there. You have to decide you want to be thin more than you want to fat.

PM me at and I will send you some family friendly recipes (that kids love too).

But lean beef is basically 1 point per ounce so it is good for you. You also can have potaotes. Add a zero point veggie to the meal and even if yourhusband doesn't eat them encourage tehkids to eat them.
