Default Weigh-In ~ Sunday ~ August 28

I am down 1 pound this morning. I didn't stick to my plan entirely for the party last night. I did not have my snack before I left but rather had some chips and salsa at the party - I had about 7 chips - so I think I was pretty close to 100 calories. I did not have wine but stuck with water to drink the entire evening - oh I had I glass of diet caffeine free pepsi. Dinner was good - lots of veggies and chicken. The birthday cakes were awesome. No bakery bought regular BD cake, but 2 homemade chocolate cakes. The BD girl's husband is quite the cook and he made them. He got the recipes out of the annual cookbooks of Food and Wine magazine. One was a white cake with layers of choc., pecan & coconut filling and covered with a bittersweet chocolate icing. I had a bite of husband's and just had to have my own. I did cut a very small piece for myself. It was so worth it. I have no regrets indulging in this one. I thought about a woman who used to cut my hair who was so thin. I remember asking her how she does it. She told me she selects her treats carefully. She explained that she isn't going to indulge in a regular birthday cake that she's had many times. She only indulges when it's something really different that she can hardly get or never had before. Well, this cake fit that description perfectly.

Hoping everyone has a weigh-in you can live with.

I am down 1lb also. I haven been very busy this past week and have not done perfect but have been watching what I eat. Sometimes life gets in the way and you can't always do perfectly, you just have to do the best you can!

After all, if we were perfect we would be here in the first place!

Congratulations Laurie and Karen - I am so proud of you - you are both doing great!! I am down 5 pounds, but only because I can't eat - so it is not normal weight loss for me. I would much rather still be losing the way you girls are!! But I know it is for a season and I'll get there.

Cool

I STS but am happy about it...didn't gain with all the eating out the past couple of days.

Terri so happy to see you posting. Yes, this will pass and you'll be back struggling with the rest of us very soon. Just take good care of yourself and eat what ever you can eat. Ha...I know I'll still be here when your done with chemo and you will be thin and just here to be our encouragement!!

Laurie and Karen good job on the loss, I hope the trend continues with everyone's WI.

Going to be sooo good this week and do EXERCISES...I found an old tape I am going to try today.

I think the walking I have been doing at the football practice has really gotten me back motivated to walk so that's a big plus for me!

Went from 159.8 up tp 162 and that has been me totally OFF Plan. Just starts the motivation for my new comitment- which starts today by the way. My own mini challenge till December. I really think its going to help and I know this time I will not give up- the only problem now is stocking the freezer w/ good foods rather than the pantry w/ snacky junk foods. Thats whats killin me here! My allergies are working me up a bit today and cant stop sneezing! UGH - DH says the same thing.

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to all of you who are loosers this week!!! And those that stayed the same.

Unfortunately, I have gained a pound. I am really mad. I cheated a couple of times this week and I added weight training into my excercise routine. That might be doing something as well.

So.....this week I am actually planning my meals in advance for the week. I have typed out my menu. I will probably eat the same thing everyday. I need to loose!!!

Have a great day!

Congrats on another great week ladies!!!
I am down 1 lb. was kinda bummed at first but I know I've gained muscle and TOM is here. I did really good OP and cardio 5 days. YAY! A little HURRAH!! for me, I am proud of myself! Speaking of B-Day parties, we went to my nieces last night, I brought a Luna bar and had that and some crackers and cheese for dinner - and only 1 small square of scotcharoos (my weakness!!!) I picked that over the cake because I promised myself I would not pig out - I LOVE cake, but the bars looked better so I made a choice! Before I would have eaten both and then some! I also drank 32 oz. of water while I was there. It makes me realize that I CAN do this. It was an obstacle I overcame! THEN- I when we got home at 11:30 we put the kids to bed and I did cardio for a half an hour. Makes me feel really good about myself! Mexico - here I come! I'm gonna print out pictures of the Villa Macara where we are staying and plaster them all over the house - how's that for motivation!
I hope everyone has a GREAT day!

Lynn, I have chemo through December 6th. I go once every three weeks for six visits - one down!! My next chemo is September 13th at 9:00 am. I have my blood levels checked throughout the week to make sure I am not getting too low. If so, then I get a shot of something to raise my levels. I get my head shaved this Friday at 4 pm and will have my wig ready to go. I am also going to buy a turban to wear when I am not wearing the wig. Decided not to have it glued on - sounds uncomfortable.

thanks for the info Teri. How are you feeling these days? getting back to normal or still feeling yucky? I think your choice not to glue your wig on it a good one. I would think it would be really itchy where the hair tries to grow in. hope your blood counts are good!!! You are always in my thoughts and prayers!!!!

Take Care!!!
