Default What's on your menu for the day?

So what's everyone got planned to have to eat today?!? We have Keilyn's birthday party today from 3-5, we will be having pizza and cake so I am going to do my best to keep it under control!

Breakfast will be yogurt, strawberries, skim milk, 1 egg 4 flax caps. I am laying off the carbs because that seems to be a danger food for me.

Hmmm - let's see. I have a wedding reception this afternoon so I have no idea what is being served. So I need to come up with a plan here. I think I will eat breakfast in the next few minutes and then wait until the reception at 1pm to eat. They are having appetizers at 1 pm and a meal is being served at 2. So I guess I should have my snack at 11 and skip the appetizers and eat lunch at 2. So that's my plan and I am sticking to it.

Breakfast: 1 lite eng. muffin, 1 tsp. butter, 1 egg, 1oz lite cheese, 1 sl. canadian bacon, canteloupe

11 am - snack: yogurt

2 pm - wedding reception food - whatever that is.

5 pm - 3 bites (like French women do!!!) of wedding cake.

8 pm - tuna, mayo, salad, lite bread

Treeat - skip it.

Laurie - I like your cleaver way of getting us back to journaling!

Hi guys...

I like this idea of trying to write down what I eat and then see if I can stick to it...I think this is something I need to do...

ON the weekends, I sort of skip breakfast and have a snack instead...today I had two pria bars...

I am going to lunch with my father...our sunday ritual...I have no idea where the car will lead us...We call this his airing...

There is an open house at my kids new school later this afternoon, then dinner which I believe I will have a grilled chicken breast, baked potato and asparagus (sort of my staple dinner!!)

Anyway, Hope my day goes according to plan!!!

Have a great one!!!

Vicki

Hope the party is a great one Laurie!!!

Vicki, when you go out to lunch today, order something grilled, tell them NO BUTTER or sauces and order veggies steamed. Drink water with lemon if you can and STAY AWAY FROM THE BREAD BASKET! lol! Good Luck!!

Ok.... what are the flax caps??? Lol. I just got my book and I am only on page 56 (not bad for a mom of three and only getting the book a couple of days ago!!) so I have not read anything on that yet. I still have not started officailly yet either. I am just making sure I try to eat every 3 hours right now until I read the book completely.

Anyway... we are having diet coke chicken for dinner. I am not sure yet if that is allowed on this plan though. In case it is it is just boneless skinless chicken breasts cooking in ketchup and a can of diet coke!! It is yummy! I also like diet coke cake. Both of these recipes I learned while I was on WW.

Anyway, I think I will go. We are going to the monster truck races today. So lots of walking for us. Then hopefully I will get home and be able to read some of my book!

Diet coke chicken is awesome!! But we never did get to have it tonight. We will have it tomorrow night. We just got home a little bit ago so we had to eat out.

Diet Coke Chicken
Boneless & skinless chicken breasts
1 cup ketchup
1 can diet coke

Mix ketchup in pop up in a skillet.... turn fire on low... put in breasts.... cook for a little bit turning every so often for about an hour. So yummy and juicy!!!!

You can also make this on the grill!!!! Same mixture as above except you marinate your chicken breasts in the ketchup and diet coke mixture for a few hours in the fridge then you take out and add to the grill... cook as long as it needs to be done.

I have never heard of diet coke chicken!!! I am a diet coke addict, though. I may have to try this. Sounds very different and I am curious. I can't imagine what it tastes like.

I was the same way when I first heard of the diet coke recipes lol! It is awesome though. It kind of tastes like a sweet BBQ sauce. You will love it!

You should try the diet coke cake too! It is awesome too! With that all you do is get one box of devils food chocolate cake and put the mix in a bowl, add the eggs that the box calls for and that is it! Don't add anything else that the directions says! Just add 1 can of diet coke!! Mix and cook as the box says!! It tastes awesome!!

You can also use a white cake with diet orange pop and it is supposed to taste like a dreamcycle. I have not tried that yet though. There is all kinds of diet pop recipes that sound awesome!!
