Join the gang and tell us how you did this week! Just jump in and post how it went whenever your weekly weigh in day rolls around. Good luck, everyone.
Me:
213.5, down .5 from last week. Not that great, but I did have a couple of really good weeks in a row so I'm just glad it didn't go up!
I lost 9 pounds this week. This also puts me at my August goal of 15 pounds. I really think a lot of it is just water weight, but I will take it!! I did at least 30 minutes on my gazelle everyday staying steady at 4.5 mph. I am very proud of myself!!! Now.... on to a new goal!!!
Lost 1 pound in the past week, so 6 more pounds to go before 1st mini goal of 170 (which gets me out of the BMI category of "obese" and into the "overweight" category), which I hope to meet sometime in September.
Hi, just kind of starting. I started once before but I have a new mindset this time. I know I am going to do it. I look in the mirror and know for myself on so many levels this weight has to come off. I could list them and will in my journal for me to read. When I write next week on here there should be good news on loss. Congratulations on all those who loss weight and to all those who are in there trying to get healthy.

2 lbs to start
I just started after a visit to a new doctor for my very high blood pressure (if untreated) and she is very encouraging. She actually things I have metabolic syndrome and will be helping me out with that. Went to the hospital today for stress/heart study and blood work. I will be seeing her in two months.
The ultimate goal is to get off BP meds. I am 5'4" and started out at 162 lbs (60 lbs over my marriage weight when I was 20!). Since I have an extremely small frame (size 4 ring) I should be at least 120 lbs. My short term goal is 140 lbs (by Xmas).
I have lost 2 lbs my first week. I eat 5 small meals a day and walk 30-45 min. or bike 15-25 min. a day on the bike trail next to my house. I had already cut out the diet Coke and drink strictly iced green tea, Crystal Light, or water when thirsty or just bored. I am hoping to join the YMCA after Xmas to expand on that.
I discovered this forum the day of my first doctor visit and was very encouraged.
Still 140 this week. I'm just glad I haven't gained, I'm traveling a lot and my goal while I'm traveling is just to maintain 140. Now I'm home for a few days, then it's off to visit my parents! I won't be back in the swing of things until Sept 6, but hopefully I will get working hard since I registered for a 5K race Sept 11!
