Default Bean question

Ok, I love beans. And I am addicted to the Black Bean Brownies...so I know that one of the food lists says to limit beans to about 1/2 - 3/4 cup a day....I don't think I am getting enough fiber thru my veggie intake. How flexible is the bean intake limit? I am probably doing the range now, but would like to maybe take it up to a full cup. Any ideas or suggestions?

The ph1 list says to start with 1/3-1/2 cup. That is all it says as far as limitations. I don't think that is intended to be a limit, but rather a guideline so you don't overdo it right away.

I agree with Heather. I think if you're losing at a rate that's satisfactory to you, you could try upping it by 1/2 cup or so, but keep a close eye on the scale.

I was actually thinking more for the, erm, digestive disturbance it causes! But good point about the scales.

I made split pea soup the other day and the scale has actually come down since I had it....I didn't know there was a 1/2 cup limit in phase 2??
They say Wendys chilli is one thing you can have too...oh well...back to the drawing board.

That was phase 1, and it didn't say it was a limit - it said to start with that.

Sorry for not being more clear !
