Not much planned for this weekend - gotta do a lot of cleaning so the catsitter won't realize I'm a slob. Since I've been on an extended vacation, the weekends and weekdays are much the same to me, apart from the big Saturday paper.

This morning I wanted to move my new scale somewhere well away from cat litter debris. First I put it on my LR rug, where I weighed 156 lbs! Then I moved it to my bathroom which has a temporary foam mat floor: 133 lbs!!!!! Anyway, I've put it back in the hall to make sure it weighs me consistently. If I need cheering up I'll stick in the loo to enhance the fantasy. And of course I'll hide all the mirrors. (I last weighed 133 in 1993 after a stint at WW.) Actually I'm feeling pretty good about the loss so far. I'm no longer bursting out of my big clothes, and even if there's still a long way to go, I'm on the right track.

Have a great weekend!

hey gang!

I've been cleaning. Just stopped to rest my feet and check in. Fixing to go finish up and then get a shower.

Carla - I would leave that scale in the spot where it says 133!

Leenie - just cleaning and laundry - that doesn't sound like nothing to me I really want to do NOTHING for a day! doesn't that sound great!

Hope everybody has a great day!

hugs,
cathy

Hey Ladies
we chose on the hottest day of the year to go on a fishing boat down the shore. I caught 5 and all but 1 were too small the one fell off the hook before the guy could net him.
I'm supposed to go to my moms today But I'm exhausted So I'm not sure Might convince DH to get me an Iced coffee b/c I'm having difficulties spending quality time With the Porcelain throne.
Leenie that sounds like something to me too Stay cool!
Carla LOL you sound like me! Can I borrow your Magic scale?
Cathy have a great day.

Kierie – congrats on that 1lb gone!

Leenie – I remember when Brit started Kindergarten. It was hard to let her go off… She didn’t go to pre-school. I met her when she was 4 years old. Even then it was hard. I am sure you’ll have a hard time as well! Let us know how she does!

Cin – about the dried pudding, thanks! I wasn’t quite sure which way to do it, but I did do it with the powder. It came out pretty good! Thank you for sharing! Kid loves it Its hard having a pet that’s getting older. I’ve lost two dogs and a few rats. It’s hard no matter what. I have an older rat that I often check to see if he’s still breathing as well. It’s amazing how such little animals take up a big space in our heart. *big hugz*

Catchy – Yes, I wasn’t sure which way to do it, but I used instant pudding as well. Was very good, you’re welcome on the peach smoothie, let me know if you try it out.

Marble – hula skirts and Victoria secrets bikini tops…. I’m looking forward to that!!!

It was a great night last night. I was out all over the place so I didn’t have time to post. My service engine soon light came up on my car and so I left my house at 6:30 a.m. to get to the dealership by 7:30 a.m. Just to avoid any line ups and get in early enough so I could get my car back sooner. Anyways, I can take m car to the San Bernardino dealership but I don’t like them, they didn’t treat me very well so I took my car to the Moreno Valley dealership. They treat you like people there and not some female twit who knows crap about cars. My dads an engineer who works on cars and planes so I learned from him… I remember one guy was trying to explain to me what an oil pan was versus an oil filter… I’m like DUH! I can change my own oil! Anyways, now that I’ve strayed from my point I go to the Moreno Valley dealership because they’ve been taking care of my and m family for quite a few years. So I pull up to the dealership leave my car there and around noon time they call and I go to pick up my car. It ends up costing me $40 for them to tell me, yes your car left a code in the computer which gave you the service engine soon light. You had an evaporation leak and pressure was not building properly. So to put that in easier words… my gas cap was loose!!!! I spent $40 for them to tell me my gas cap was loose :-P

After I picked up my car, my parents and I went house shopping. They want a new house but I think they’re crazy. Specially with market prices. I’m just concerned that my father is never going to be able to retire and enjoy his life with a house that is going to cost him over 500k. That’s being cheap too, houses out here are ridiculous! I can maybe see it if he was moving closer to work, since he has to get up at 3am to get to his van pool by 4am and then get to work by 6 am. He’s an Engineer for Lockheed. Then he gets home at 5pm. OY! My works at leasts works closer. She’s a dealer in a casino tho, and the second hand smoke is killing her. I just would hate to see them take on any more bills.

Okie now that I’ve rambled and whined… good news is my team took all 3 games last night for league. Next week is positions week. I think we’re third? Might be second but it depends on how the team above us did. Then the week after that is Vegas… I’m looking forward to this trip! I wanna see the Blue Man Group!! Hehehe

Oh, and I’m down 1lb! I don’t know how with all the cravings I had with Aunt Flo and Uncle TOM here. Not to mention the water retention but it’s still a loss and I’m happy

Okie ladies, I hope all is well… I’m hopinng to get some yard work done this weekend!

Take care!
Sue…

Hi Ladies, just a quick note to say that I'm thinking of you all. SueMarie, sorry about the $40. Does it help that you've got a good story to tell? Leenie, I have a few more chores to do then I'm going to write and go swimming. Already did the exercise by hiking in the mountains (in other words, huff, puff, huff, huff up the hills). Carla, I found that scales don't work right unless they're on a hard floor. Once I figured that out, I get consistent readings. Once I thought I'd lost 5 pounds in a day and that clued me in that I'd just moved the scale. Kierie, I'm glad you had fun a least catching some fishies even though they were too small. I love boat rides and being on the water. It's so relaxing. Cathy, sorry you've spent your precious weekend cleaning. I have to vacuum, then I'm done and have only fun left to do. Hope that's true for you too.

I gotta share this with all.

Two members of our church have generously donated a large amount of money so that we can ae the enterence more handicapped accessible. It is now, but it is a challenge. We're also talking about putting a wheelchair accessible rest room by the enterence. So the debates began. Some younger members said that we don't need it more accessible and we don't really need a restoom. The restroom in the school is fine according to them. The heck it is! I threw out a challenge:

I said all those nay sayers that I wanted them to spend two weeks in a wheelchair, only using their legs to walk six steps total a day. I then challenged them to drive, shop, go to work, bathe and most of all go to the restrooms available. I told one young man I wanted him to use an airline.
Nobodytook it up and the remodeling is going on.

Tippy! you are AMAZING! I don't think people really understand what it is to want to be independent in a world that doesn't want to adapt. we went to MIL's last night and today if I can Get DH up We're going to a train Museum with the fam.
Can I be totally TMI for a minute? I haven't been able to make full use of the Ahem Facilities of late. and When I got on the scale this morning (I'm a scale freak)
it said 194!
which means I'm probably LESS!
Sue i love the pic ofyour lil doggie!

KO, have you tried Metamucil or psyllium powder (same thing)? It will get things moving again gently without the horror of laxatives. Maybe a little slower, but...

Or you could have WAY too much to drink - in the morning you may want to die, but you'll sure be using those facilities.

How on earth do ladies who drink as much water as you all do ever get constipated?????

Marie, this morning I went to a gym for a very short workout, and by their scale I was at 200 with my cloths on (no shoes). And the scale was on a hard floor , one of those upright doctor's scales. So I really am flirting with onederland! Can't wait. (I'm not really scale-obsessed. It's just a hobby...)

Tippy, I'm appalled that those who pride themselves on their faith sometimes forget the charitable part of their church's message. In England they use the expression "I'm all right, Jack" to mean as long as I'm okay, too bad so sad for the rest of you. You're a good woman and you deserve to be proud of yourself for seeing clearly when others were blind. The same applies to those who so generously donated the $$$ in the first place! End of sermon.

Enjoy the day. I have an hour and a half to finish basic tidying, and the scattered kitty litter seems to be breeding or something. It reappears as soon as I vacuum it up. Oh well.

Red face Pretty nice weekend...

My depression came hard but left in a day, which is awesome for me. It's one day-ers like that, that will help keep me going. So I get to enjoy my Sunday, and I will be taking an evening walk (it's too hot right now) after dinner.

On another note, I was brainstorming my own personal weight loss plan for me to follow, which is something I've never tried. I'm hoping it would help me stick to this weight loss monster and beat it forever.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

KO – Yeah That’s my baby Heidi… I call her Monster tho… she’s got the biggest and sweetest attitude in the world and she MUST have her attention or you are in big trouble! Hehehe

Carla – I was gonna step on the scale at the gym… I was curious to see how off my home scale was. Only thing is, at this gym they have it right in the middle of the floor with this HUGE dial… I was a bit self conscious to get on… maybe I’ll work up the nerve next time hehehe.

Manicbelle – Not sure if I said hello but Hello and WELCOME!

Today was an interesting day. I went to lunch with a few friends, and then we went to the bowling alley, sat in the bar and watched the angels game. Then I did some shopping and now I’m home.

I am going to pamper my car tho… she needs a bath. Been sitting in the garage for almost a month now and she’s collected dust.

It’s been a nice day so far…

Hope everyone is having a good weekend…
