Hi all...

My wedding is coming up next month and I went shopping for lingerie the other day. I am a size 16/18 and let me tell you, that wasn't easy. First, I went to Frederick's of Hollywood and usually they have things but this time, they only had one thing that SORT OF fit. My friend wanted to go in Victoria's Secret for herself, so I asked if they have anything plus-sized and of course, they said no. I think I know Victoria's Secret: it's anorexia!

Anyway, we ended up going to Lane Bryant and they had a few things, but nothing that really said, "this is my wedding night and I'm beautiful!"

Does anyone have any suggestions of places to try? I live in San Diego, CA.

I don't know if you noticed this, but LB does have a bridal collection... I don't know if its the same as what you saw in the store though.

They have nice stuff, too. When I was in the store, I ended up getting something that is in their bridal collection. It is really pretty, but I was hoping for something a little more....risque! I also got a thong from there that says, "Just married" on them in rhinestone.

Hi!

Avon has recently had very pretty and very sexy lingerie in their catalogs and most of it goes up to a 4X! They have some really nice things. I am unsure whether you can order from their website but if not you can find a representative in your area and they can normally get your order in within a couple of weeks.

The websites for Frederick's and Victoria's carry a wider selection of larger-size items than the stores, so you might check them out. Also, if you go to Yahoo.com and just do a search for lingerie plus-size you'll get a huge list of web sites.

I bought a couple of cute outfits off ebay (new with tags of course). Most of the people were really great about explaining the exact sizes and whatnot. If you're wanting really risque, you can find many of those in the adult section but be careful what all is listed there
