Morning Girls, I have a busy day ahead of me so I thought that I would post early.
Kieri sorry recipes are not my forte! If anyone at work knows of one I will let you know. I think it is funny that we turned 25 in the same wk. I keep forgetting and telling people I am 24. I must admit though it does make me feel kind of mature "25"

WW Update
Um after my TAco Bell Fiasco at lunch I went home and had Chicken and Rice. I was a good girl I was dying to make Peanut Butter Cookies but I resisted. I know I know nothing is off limits on WW but I am pretty sure a 1/2 dz. cookies would have been I have trouble limiting myself Anyways I plan to do the salad thing for lunch and I grabbed a cafe mocha and 3 Timbits from Tim HOrton's for Breakfast. They are only 1 pt. a piece if you get a sweet craving.

Well I will be back and check in!!!!!!!!!!

Default I'm here!

Hi ya'll! I got to work early today becasue I went to bed super early last night. I'll make this quick becasue I have to go to a meeting soon.

KO ~ I love to stir fry...I'll try to remember a simple one...
This serves two and its a ton of food.

Chicken and Zucchini
you need:
1/2 lb boneless skinless ck breast (sliced)
3 zucchinis (halved and then sliced)
1 clove of garlic
2 tsp. of cornstarch
2 T soy sauce
2 T sherry
2 green onions sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
salt/pepper
cooking spray

1. mix together 1 t cornstarch, 1 T Soy, 1 T Sherry, salt, pepper, and chicken. let this sit for about 30 minutes.

Mix the rest of the cornstarch, soy sauce and sherry in another little bowl and set aside.

2. Once the CK is done marinating, heat up your wok with a little oil or cooking spray.

3. Add the zucchini and salt and pepper to the hot wok and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Remove veggies from the wok to another plate.

4. Add a little more oil and cooking spray. Smash clove of garlic and put in the hot wok with the green onion.

5. drain the ck from marinade and add to the wok. Cook until it isn't pink.

6. Remove the garlic, add the veggies back, and pour in reserved sauce mixture. Cook until thickened and serve.

You probably could sub. another veggie, but this was really good. You also can play with the sauce mix until you get the taste you like.

HTH!

Well, I'm off to the meeting!

Good morning!

Kierie ~ I make stir fry all the time (healthy and my family loves it!) I think the key to good stir fry is cooking your veggies and meat (chicken or whatever) in soy sauce and oyster sauce, that gives it the authentic chinese flavor. Both of course are loaded with sodium, but both products offer low-sodium options. I use frozen stir fry veggies (comes all together in a package) and usually use chicken for the meat. I make my family rice with it, but I usually just eat the stir fry itself, it is low-cal/low-fat and tastes great!!

Kirsty ~ I am here to play! No ambition at work again today!! So, I am here for the long run today!

Hello to everyone else!

It is raining again here today, and looks like it will stay that way for a couple days. Like Jen said yesterday, it is normally in the 80 - 90's in June in Wisconsin, and it is still in the 50's here, unbelievable weather. But, an old farmer told me that until the river stage goes down, we won't have warm weather....I gotta believe him, he's a farmer....

My eating could be better, but not awful, I am staying within my points, but just barely. I really think my problem is this depressing weather and not being able to exercise outside. But, I am going to take a day at a time and today's goals are:

1. Stay in the middle of my points.
2. Drink my water!!

That's it for today, I will start to incorporate exercise in there shortly.

Well, talk more later!!

Default Kierie~ The cornstarch is a thickener. It makes the texture richer and more fatty!

Tonya ~ I LOVE stir fry as well. The above recipe only has about 5 points and its lots of food. I agree, the soy and hoisin sauce are key. The sherry also gives an authentic flavor. Have you tried using bean paste? We use it for meat dishes (pork loin or sirloin) and it tasets really good. All you do is mix it with soy sauce, sherry, and sometimes a little sugar. You can find it a t oriental markets.

Sorry to hear that the weather is so bad. Its been hot down here (90's). Today looks like rain, but it'll be good since the summer is usually pretty dry. Have you tried doing videos for exercise. I know when the weather is bad here, I'll do a video to get some energy. They are sometimes boring, but it does the trick.

I'll be back later!

Good morning ya'll.

Well, I have to say I'm not doing too good. It has to do with the fact that I'm totally swamped at work, and I go into "busy season mode" which generally means I eat everything in sight. I eat because I'm stressed, and I eat because I feel sorry for myself! It's bad, and I'm writing now to try to gain control again.

I must not compensate with food. I must not compensate with food!

*sigh*

Kierie, the cornstarch thickens the sauce. If you don't have any, you could also use flour. Glad your jeans fit!

Kay, the stir fry recipe sounds yummy!

Steph, you poor thing! I'm glad the stones have passed and you are doing better. Congratulations to your cousin, that's quite an accomplishment.

Gotta run. Too much to do, too little time.

HI ALL...

TONYA... you are 100% right. I just know the weather is causing a lot of problems for me. We have barely had any nice days at all this spring. And I feel like I have a cold all the time... and so does Emma.... poor girl! I walked Sadie this morning and it was in the 40's... I had on sweats and a winter like jacket. How pathetic is that for June???

Kierie... I make stir fry all the time. Along with what others say, I also use ginger root cut up. Don't need much, because it is quite flavorful. And don't bit into it.. blahhh.. If you use larger pieces, you can pull them out, otherwise I chop/smush mine fine and don't worry about it.

Kay... post your recipe on the recipe thread!! YUM YUM! How are you doing???

HELLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to everyone else. As you know, I will be back later!!

Default Hello Women

Well, yesterday I was eating out of control. I have been craving the strangest things...spagettios with corn???? and tomato sandwiches. Anyway, I feel so much better in the afternoons and can pack away so much food. Especially since I am home and BOARD! I must be more careful.

I had some bad news about a great friend yesterday. She found out she as pregnant the same week I did and was a week behind me in due date. Well, she had a miscaridge yesterday. Very said for her...also freaked me out a bit. I know there is no corilation...but I get freaked out easily. I have not called her yet. I think I will this weekend. But so far I think I am doing ok.

Jen: Thank you for the PM and I will e-mail back later today. I can not sit at the computer for long.

Tonya: that is great for staying on points. It is the start..see I know you can do it.

Janet: our office (not that I have been there in 2 weeks) is as busy at tax season it seems. Crazy. It is hard not to overindulge when stressed. I think we both need to find other outlets for our stress. I am not sure what yet. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Kay" have a good meeting. Did you have a dr appt today? how did that go?

Kierie: Have a happy birthday and a fun party.

Steph: sorry to hear about the stone. Glad you are doing better.

Becky: happy birthday to you too. Good job on resisting a triger food. I tend to eat too many cookies as well.

Kirsty: funny poll. I always wondered.

Ok, must go but will try to get back this afternoon.

Trish
