Angela, have you tried and liked the BLT pasta salad? I've never used or bought canandian bacon before. Does it come sliced? The recipe I have calls for 4 slices? Actually, it just says 4. 4 what?!

Vickie, it is probably four slices. I've never seen canadian bacon that didn't come pre-sliced. I really like the taste of it, in fact I just bought some this weekend. I had a coupon for the Oscar Mayer kind that is ready-serve. I haven't tried it yet but it will be handy to have on-hand I think. I want to try that BLT pasta salad too.

I love Canadian Bacon. All the kinds I've seen have been sliced too. They come pizza size (small), sandwich size (large), and here we have the really yummy, expensive thicker kind from the Amanas. I've read that you can get it in the deli, unsliced, but I've never seen it. I'm assuming when it says 4, it means 4 oz. It's like ham, mostly. But I've actually pan-fried it like bacon for wilted salads, and it's delish!

I'll let you guys know how the salad turns out...

now i'm not just hungry for smoothies and salmon patties, but i need to add canadian bacon to my "hungry for" list. i haven't cooked a big breakfast in awhile, so i guess today's a good day for that.

b-- scrambled eggs with ff cheddar cheese, griddled mashed potatoes and "fried" cornpones.
l--layered salad/cornpones
s--lo (last of) berry crisp
d--plans changed--again!--baked chicken, chili beans, corn on the cob, polenta cakes
s--cherries

Ok then! Thanks Melissa and Angela. I'm adding Canadian Bacon to my list and I'll be having the BLT pasta salad. Only problem is that I'm still going to want pasta or rice at dinner. Guess I'll have to pay points that day.

Breakfast: I'm craving Cheerios so I'm having them with skim and splenda. Also a banana

Lunch: Grilled Chicken salad (mixed greens, hard boiled egg, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrot and FF honey dijon dressing)

Snack: Chocolate cherry smoothie

Dinner: Spring Mix salad with mushrooms and tomatoes, LO smothered Barley chicken, broccoli

Snack: SF/FF pudding

Trying to stick to it...! but finding it hard!

Breakfast: 1 banana, decaf w/light cream

Lunch (bought from "downstairs"): small bowl of vegetable soup, small greek salad (dressing on the side) and I "discarded" some of the feta cheese as it was too much!
cherries

Snack: apple or plums?

Dinner: hope dh prepared the roast beef that was in the fridge! (not a lot of turnaround time this evening as I get in around 5:30 and leave at 6:30 for dd's dance!)
