W/W is a reduced calorie weight loss program. Not sure what you are realling looking for but W/W has 2 arms. Arm 1 is Flex which you control your caloric intake but utilizing a 'gimmick' (for lack of a better term) of points. Each food has a point value based on calories/fat grams/fiber grams. You get a set number of points based on your current weight. In addition to those points you can supplement them by earning points for exercise and the 35 weekly flex points W/W gives you to use. The other arm is Core which is mostly healthy whole foods which you can eat until satisified. This does not mean you are full and definately does not mean stuffed. There are a few foods that are limited and you also get 35 weekly flex points to use for non Core foods. YOu also can supplement your day with exercise points for non Core food.

The great thing that I have found about WW is you can eat regular foods. You don't have to buy special packaged food, supplements or bars to be on this program.

They teach you how to eat in a healthy manner that can be maintained and you can still enjoy social activities and eating out. They encourage you to exercise and eat well balanced meals and to eat proper portions so to me this feels more like a lifestyle makeover/change rather than a "diet".

In addition to the food plans, a lot of people find that going to an actual real life WW meeting every week helps them stay motivated and provides lots of good ideas. I know it's really helped me stay on a plan longer than I've been able to before without feeling deprived.

WW is really a lifestyle change. We have to learn to change our eating habits and how we deal with food. I like it because I don't really have to cook any differently than I usually do. My whole family can eat the same way. They just get to partake of more and more goodies that I avoid.

It has been great for me - it is the only thing that has ever worked totally for me. Some of those quick fix plan work for awhile but not long term
I go to weekly meetings and find the on-line boards a great source of encouragement

Good Luck
Hope it goes well
