Default Personal Goals and Challenges 6/5 - 6/12

Each of us has something specific that we would like to overcome. It could be avoiding those pesky M&Ms at work. Maybe its fitting exercise into each and every day. Perhaps its staying within the range of our weekly point allowance. Or it could even be drinking more water. This week*, I thought that we would try something a little different. What is your own personal goal for the week? What is your plan to achieve it? What can everyone else do to help you?

It is as complicated or as simple as you would like. What would you like to challenge yourself to overcome, complete, or accomplish this week? Remember, the more specific your goal, the easier it will be to accomplish.

*Everyone's week is different as far as weigh-ins are concerned, but I thought that it would be easier for us to go by calendar weeks.

My personal goal for the week is to stay within my 35 wpa. If possible, I would like to try not to use them at all prior to Friday when we go to visit friends and attend a wedding on Saturday. It will be easy for you guys to check up on me through our daily menu (as long as I'm honest ). The support from this board can't be beat! This is just one of many goals that I have, but I'm trying to change one thing at a time.

Ooooh, good one!!! The hard part about this will be picking ONE thing! If I try to change it all at once, I'll implode!

I think I'll pick water. If I can be assured that I'll get all my water in, pretty much every other cheat will at least be diluted. Maybe a byproduct of drinking all my water will be NOT drinking any beer or cokes.

I'm picking water too. If I don't get REALLY concentrate I only get 6 eight ounce glasses in. I need more than that. I commit to 8-10 eight ounce glasses every day of plain water supplemented by other decaf beverages.

Yeah, well it's just a good thing DH fixed our master bath toilet today! I was just making a list of everything that needs to be done around here and I had to laugh ... the toilets are crappy and the vacuum cleaner sucks!

Oh, sometimes I just crack myself up!!!

Count me in! I'm going to go with exercise. I've really been slacking since it hasn't seemed to help. I do know that I start to feel flabbier when I don't do it..........so, exercise it is! At least Monday thru Friday!

I think I'll try exercise. I bought a membership at Curves in January, but I haven't been very good about going. (In fact, they just sent me a "we miss you" postcard!) So, my challenge for the week is to make it to Curves 3 times between now and Saturday!

Judy, that is a great goal. Very specific and doable!

Lisa, exercise Monday through Friday. That's a big one! It will just have to make a difference!

Vickie, good goal, very specific and doable also. Good luck!

Kathy, I love your rationale. You absolutely crack me up.

And Judy, please be aware that we have a rolling pin and some people (not me, of course!) aren't afraid to use it!

hmmmmmmm? i have a big challenge coming up this week. we're leaving friday for kalispell, montana for the state outdoor target competition. sometime during the weekend (between shooting times) we're planning to drive up to the visitor's center at glacier national park. we'll be eating out at least 8 times over that 3 day period. i won't be able to be online either. enough of this whining, right?

so what's my challenge? save my waps for the trip and use them to stay on core. i know myself very well. this is the type of situation coming up that i use so well to sabotage my weightloss efforts.

please stay on me to help me stay on target. (pun intended)

My husband bought me an elliptical and I need to get on it everyday or every other day and I do need to exercise. I have a bunch of DVD's by Leslie Sansone, I do them the best because I have 2 knee replacements and floor work or lifting my legs very high don't work. So I will try to exercise more this week.

Hello. I have been going over my points, this week I am going to try and "detox" my body, like only have chicken or fish and veggies and fruit. My goal is to exercise every day, walk at least 30 minutes and do Tae-Bo in the morning. Is this possible??? I don't know, but I have to, I mean have to lose weight for my best friend's wedding!!!! I am the Maid of Honor and I guy that I was in love with in high school is going to be there, I want to be skinny for that!!! I have a long way to go, the wedding is not until July 2006. She did that so I could have time to lose the weight. I would like to be able to stick to this diet without cheating for one week!!!!!

Wow - great idea - glad I found this thread.

I think there are so many things I can work on - but like Kathy said - one at a time is probably the way to go.

So I Froufie hereby solemnly swear to exercise 5 DAYS THIS WEEK - yes you heard me right - 30 mins of movement per day - most probably walking (treadmill or outdoors) - NO EXCUSES!!!

Please feel free to use the rolling pin as required!

Hoo boy, tough one. You guys are making me accountable. Hmmm. I think I like the water goal. My goal will be to drink at least 40 oz of plain water a day, in addition to my milk and other beverages. I'm notoriously bad about water, but I know I can do it!
