chocolatecatz - thanks for starting the thread and congratulations on a great loss especially with going to a wedding!

I had a much better weekend thank I've had in a while. I stopped eating when I was full at dinner last night (and have the pleasure of having the leftovers for lunch tofday) and had a few snacks in the evening but they were both fruit. I managed to fend off a craving for PB right before bedtime and was rewarded with a better sneak peek this morning. School starts tonight - I should be home by 8:00 and Tony and I are going to have dinner then. That should cut down on the snacking (assuming I can keep the stress under control). My back is still ouchy; I won't get any exercise in today but hope to tomorrow although it will most likely be just some gentle yoga.

Gotta go - have a good one,
Judy

Hi All...

Just a very quick drop in to say hi. I miss you guys, and try to do a quick lurk every few days to see how it's going. I'm going away for 2 weeks, and will be back faithfully when I return. Life is way too hectic these days.

Hugs,
Karen

Hi Everyone,

Had my first weigh in this morning. I have lost 3 kilograms (5 pounds). I didnt think I would have lost anything so I didnt beleive the scales. I actually stepped off, realigned the scales and then went on them again. Its probabaly mostly water but i dont care

Well today was my 1 week weigh in and I am only down a pound. Could I be doing something wrong? At least I am down and not up.

Hi gals,
Looks like everyone did well this last week! SlimmerJules - one lb over time adds up. Keep up the good work.
Judy - sounds like you've got back with the plan!
Me on the other hand just went out of control. Got through all the preparation and the graduation - (had one beer which settled me down). Thought "well - didn't do too bad" But I got up the next day and just caved. NO, I REALLY CAVED! I'm talking 2 pieces of DQ cake, 2 pieces of German choc cake, chips, dips, (which none of these are really anything I just crave). It was just because it was there. I got on the scale yesterday (reluctantly I might add) and I was up 4 lbs. I didn't log it because I felt like I would be punishing myself and get more depressed. So, I decided I will give it to Thursday and then weigh again. So, that's where I'm at for the week.

Have a good finish to your week.

Darlene

Today was my official first weight in to see how much I weigh starting, but I have been losing on my own since Christmas. I used to weigh 201, and today I weigh 186.5! I got my kit last night, so will use that to help me, but I am happy that I have lost 14 1/2 lbs so far and hope to keep going.

Hello Ladies , this was my first week on the program to and I only lost A pound I am aliitle bitter about it but I did have TOM this past week and my eating well it went okay but I did use all my points plus my over points so I guess 1 pound is 1 pound better then nothing, but I am really not gonna crack this week and stick to it hard.
Thanks for listening !

Karen – it’s good to hear from you. Sorry things have been so hectic. Enjoy the two weeks away and I look forward to hearing from you when you return.

Chocolatecatz – sorry to hear about your hip. I’m having trouble with my back again and worst of all, my “good knee” has been hurting going down stairs. I’m going to lay off anything but yoga and hope for the best. I sure hope I don’t have to take a trip to the orthopedist again!

Tel8 – Welcome and what a fabulous loss!! Yes, the first weigh in is usually a lot of water but who cares – celebrate (just not with naughty food).

SlimmerJules – welcome and congratulations on the great loss! One pound is one pound lighter! Everyone loses a different rates and with different patterns. Try to look at it as a nice solid start. Hey, if you lose one pound every week, you’ll be at goal before you know it.

Darlene – sorry for the slip-up – what can I say? I did that for a good 2 or 3 weeks straight. What’s great is that you’ve picked yourself up and dusted yourself off!

Thebooklass – welcome! You’ve done great since Christmas and I’m sure you’ll continue to do well.

I’ve had a pretty good few days although no exercise due to grad school starting again, my back and my knee. I’ve stopped eating at meals when I feel full (not stuffed) although I can’t say that I’ve only snacked when hungry. That will be my challenge for next week. It almost 10 pm here and after dinner (which was fairly late because I had class tonight) the only thing I’ve had is some diet chocolate soda. I figured that might help with what I think are PMS’y kinds of cravings. I’m patting myself on the back here too because work is as crazy as ever (I sure hope the teacher comes back next week!) and the class at night is good but since the semester is only 5 weeks, will be a ton of work. Oh well, it will be done before I know it and since it’s a class to test and diagnose reading difficulties (and I work with a child) it should be really interesting and meaningful.

I’m pretty tired and am going to try to get to sleep at a decent hour so I can get up ½ hour early to do some yoga. Tony and I are going out to eat tomorrow (our anniversary is today) but it shouldn’t be too much of a challenge – it’s a fish restaurant so wise choices are pretty easy to make.

Have a great one!
Judy

Hi everyone - I used to post on this thread many moons ago. I recognize Judy - wow you have been here a long time. (I used to post when Cece was on and had just adopted her baby...)

Well I am back and hoping to find support here. It was very helpful last time. I am the mother of 2 girls ages 9 and 13. I have just started back on WW about 2 weeks ago. My life is crazy busy and my biggest challenge is planning my meals. This time I am excercising as well so I am hoping the weight will come off a little faster. I look forward to getting to know everyone!!

The forum sure has added a lot of bells and whistles!!
