Talking Whatcha Eatin'?

Ok everyone...this thread is for everyone to post their most favorite healthy Dr. Phil / Oprah friendly recipes...this will help keep everyone motivated and will help us all keep everything fresh!

I will start by posting my alltime fav...Pasta...Yes...I said....PASTA!!!

Pasta with Chicken & Rapini
1 lb. Dreamfield Pasta (only 5grms digestible carbs per serving!!!)
1 whole roasted chicken from the supermarket
1-2 big bunches of rapini (or broccoli)
1-2 cloves garlic, chopped
Olive oil or spray
Parmasan cheese

Chop your rapini (or broccoli) and boil, drain and set aside. Cook pasta per directions on box and set aside. Meanwhile, shred chicken from bone and set aside. Put 1 tbl olive oil in pot and add chopped garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add chicken and rapini (or broccoli) and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add pasta and saute until heated through. Plate and top with a little parmasan cheese.

Enjoy!!!

Yum, this sounds good! I'm not much of a cooker anymore and if anything has more than 4-5 ingredients, I pretty much blank out on it !

Marie - sounds great. Make it even easier on yourself and throw the rapini or broccoli in the pasta water the last few minutes it is boiling - one less pot and you will mix it all together in the end anyway.

Try the balsamic glazed chicken recipe that's on this website's low fat recipe section. I froze it individual portions with a cup of frozen broccoli. Then I just reheat in the microwave. EXCELLENT!!!!!
