Question Anyone doing Curves?

Hi my name is Lisa and I just started doing Curves. I wanted to know if anyone else out there is doing the same thing and how it is going for them?
I just had my first weigh and measurements on Friday. I am determined to keep doing this.

Thanks

Hey Bethmichelle -

How long ago did you join? Do you like it? I have only gone 4 times but already I have more energy then I did before which is really great

Are you dieting? If so what are you doing?

Thanks for the response. I thought I was the only one.

Hey Nia-Virgo -

Glad you are doing something positive for yourself. How are you liking curves so far? I love the amount of energy after I have been.

I am eating 5 to 6 small healthy meals a day and drinking ALOT of water.

If you look under the exercise topic you will find ladies that go to curves. I go there alot. Come join us

Don't know if it's just localized, but there was a Curves coupon in our ValPak mailing in VA this week.

I had the same question, so I just checked it out yesterday and decided I'm going to join today.

It is a circle of various pieces of equipment that operate on hydraulic resistance rather than weights, with flat boards (resting stations), in between each piece of equipment, that you can either stand and rest on or walk or jog on. The recording (with music) cues you when to move to the next station. You spend 30 seconds at each station/resting station and do two entire circuits of all the equipment/stations. When finished, you move to the bar and stretch. They want you to only go every other day and do only 30 minutes at a time. You can even get a month's pass if you're going to be out of town where you can get into any Curves in whatever area you're in, or have your membership transferred to a new location if you move.

sweetvanillagirl - I just started so I have not had my first weigh/measure to see how much I have lost but my sis-in-law and my mom both do it a swear by it.

Look on the exercise post here and look for Curves. There are ladies there that have been doing it for awhile.

From the girls I talked to there, the consensus is that it works. They even have challenges on the weightloss at this location. They had a half price startup sale going, so it was $74 to start and $29/mo.
