Morning,

I have been thinking about walking.

You know I seem to park further away from the front door of places.

I use more stairs.

I walk taller, too!

Let's decide to walk more this coming weekend. K?

I spent 6 hours in the ER with my 77 yr young friend yesterday. They decided to keep her then admit her into a nursing home.

I have been her caretaker for a long time now and it is so sad seeing her go downhill.

I think about the times I lament about my weight then I see this....

I have done this from my heart without compensation and I am so rich.

Have a nice day.

Lady

Lady...I'm so sorry about your DF. I hope she is better soon. I always try to park far away to give myself that extra lil walk. My kids are always there's one there's one and I'm headin for the end. lol

Well I better get dressed. I would really like to just wear my p.j.'s but now that I have a car I feel like everyone can see me! lol Until I get my windows tinted anyway. Check y'all chicks later. Have a great day all!

Good morning chickadees! Looks like another beautiful day here in Maryland! I started P1 again yesterday. I had a couple of innocent cheats and a not-so-innocent cheat and didn't know what to do so I took someones advice on this board and I'm going back to P1 for a week. I have a question....I found these honey mustard, onion pretzel pieces that are made with wheat. Is it okay to snack on a few of these? Or should I wait until P2. If I've already had a little have I messed up? Oh, boy. I started out doing so well but lately I feel my will power diminishing! Also, I've been telling myself that I'm going to start walking just haven't MADE the time to do so. Both my boys are in baseball now and one is in karate too. I also have a one year old little 'terror" (girl) JUST KIDDING! She's into everything!!!She tries to climb the walls/a mini spiderman! It seems hard to find time for myself these days! I'm gonna stay positive tho....I know I can do this!! Everyone have a great day!

Good morning. It's gorgeous here! I had my morning coffee on the deck and watched The Girls chase squirrels and ignore robins who were checking out the lawn for breakfast.

Ellis, I hope the weather is great for you too! I'm still sending you geese, by the way. They may be lost.

Bamie, just drive around in your PJs. I see the teens around here wearing what looks like jammies so nobody would notice. Keep the top buttoned though.

Lady, so sorry to hear about your DF but I guess it's time for a long term care facility.

Tar, it's nice to see you posting. I hate to tell you this but those pretzel thingies are an absolute no-no on Phase I and probably on Phase II as well. Wheat is allowed on Phase II but only whole wheat. Honey must be very limited if used at all. Try the roasted chick peas from the recipe section for a crunchy snack or veggies and hummus.

Sarah came yesterday and we did a lot of raking at the front of the house. She must have taken fifteen garden carts full of leaves out to compost mountain! She won't be back until Monday as she has other jobs lined up but I will dabble away at more cleanup until then. At the moment, my knee does not want me kneeling. It's going to have to get over that as I cannot garden by just bending from the waist without killing my back. I have one of those scooter carts and may use that as a compromise.

My respite worker, Jane, comes at noon today. I plan to check out some rival garden centres around here and maybe find some pansies with "faces". Lorraine just started the solid coloured ones this year and I do like to see those pretty faces looking at me out on the porch when I have my afternoon tea. I work in the Greenhouse tomorrow morning and will give her a full report on the other Greenhouses. She really doesn't have much competition!

The road sweeper just went by the house and is driving The Girls crazy! We are getting the Village spiffed up for the huge influx of people expected this weekend for the Syrup Festival. I am cooking Saturday and Sunday. Don't worry about me eating pancakes though - after hours of smelling them, I couldn't choke them down. Whoops! Just remembered that I must make up several loaves of sandwiches for the volunteers who can't hack the thought of pancakes by Sunday.

My bath is ready so I'm outta here. Have a Thrilling Thursday!

Morning chicks just a quickie for me this morning. The kids don't have school as there is parent teacher interviews. DH is painting my kitchen, and I am taking pictures as we go, the power commission is coming to take down a large tree in my front yard as it was damaged in the ice storm a few years back and keeps loosing branches when we have storms. So it is one of those days. Made it through day one yesterday.

Ellis- morning enjoy your coffee.
Lady- so sorry to hear about you friend. It is so sad to have to watch someone you love's health go downhill. Take care of yourself and hopefully she will find a wonderful place to live.
Bamie- morning chick, I have wore my pj's in the car before taking the kids to the bus stop or to school. Mind you I have never worn anything overly sexy. Have a great day. New York is one of my dream places to visit. I hope it is not to expensives and you can go.
Tar- I hate to tell you but the pretzels are a no no on phase one. Put them away.
I remember the one year old stage, really when you think about it chasing wee ones we really should count as exercise. Have a great day.

Well I am off to take a few pictures, I want to take some of the tree before it is gone. It is such a beautiful tree when it is full of leaves, but I won't be sad when I don't have to spend days raking in the fall. I will post picts later if I have a chance or tomorrow. I have to work at the store tonight so it is one of those days.

Tar~The best advice I can give you is to read the labels. If the ingredients are not on the P1 list, then I would leave it alone. Alittle here and alittle there, especially in the first few weeks, will not detox you and you will still continue to have those cravings. Get through the first 2 weeks and then see how you feel. It gets easier after that.

Lady~You're right about parking further away from the door. Every little bit helps~it all adds up. I am so sorry to hear about your friend. It is always difficult to see a loved one deteriorate.

Bamie~It's tempting to wear those PJ's though, isn't it??????

Ellis~Where's the coffee ???

Me~I've been up since 3:30 this morning to help DH give the cat his antibiotics. Then I did a lesson from the "Organize from the Inside Out " at the Barnes and Noble University on-line classes. I love these because you don't have to get the book to learn from the class. And it's free. I'm also taking Diet Simple, too. My goals for this year are to be healthier and more organized. After reading lesson 2, decided that my desk was a mess and cleaned it upand filed papers.
Not sure what's on the agenda for today.... I'll check back later.

To those who posted while I was posting~good morning

Good Morning -

Our week of Operation Rise and Shine is going OK. DD was a little rough getting up, but we are still getting to school on time. The main thing is that I'm getting up by 6:15, showering, getting fully dressed and eating b'fast (and doing my computer stuff in the morning!) It's nice to have this extra time, I used to do it all after I took kids to school and then wasn't ready for my day until 9:30 or so.

Bamie: I have been running around in jammies all year (well, not actually my jammies - I'd get arrested if I wore what I wore to sleep! ) but some type of lounge pant and t-shirt. Just don't wear curlers...that embarrasses the kids! LOL!

Ruth: you just have so much energy! You get done in a day what seems like I do over a whole weekend or more! Sounds beautiful where you live. Enjoy the weekend - we have Fiesta starting in San Antonio this weekend, I know what you mean about influx of tourists. My dad and stepmom are coming this weekend, so I'm actually going to be part of the madness!!

I'm still getting to know you all! Have a great day on plan. Good Morning - and have a fantastic Thursday!

Good grief! I was just gone for a few minutes, it seemed!

Lady, I'm very sorry about your friend.

Oh, Bamie... just wear your jammies... maybe you'll start a new trend.

Tar, hang in there, girl!
You know, it was so exciting when our daughter turned 12, and was able to babysit her little brother for an hour or so while DH and I went out for a coffee. It was a DREAM!! It'll come for you, too...

Ruth, I got the geese! Thank you!
Wow, are the garden centres open!? I can't wait to get in there! Take good care of that knee, hon.

Oh, Little Chick... I always cry when I see a tree being cut down. It's so sad. You're smart to take photos.

Sil, 3:30!!! I hope you're taking a little nap now, hon!

Christy, you're right about Ruth! She's got more energy than all of us put together.

Hi Sunny! Have a great day!

I had GREAT news from our accountant yesterday! Of course, money back is never extra money. It just means I'll be able to break even with the bills.

Heading out to have breakfast with a friend... I am freaking STARVING!!!

Have a great day, gals...

Morning everyone...quick post for me...I have bills to pay & I HAVE to excercise. The scale keeps moving the wrong direction & it's upsetting to say the least! SO more water & more excercise. If this doesn't help then I'm going to slap myself with a wet noodle!

Good Morning Chicks

Its a great day for walking and I'm heading for the beachs while the weather is holding up.Lost one of my visting my DD pounds.and hope to continue going downward now that I can go out and do my power walking along with jogging.

Ellis thanks for starting the thread. Sometimes I don't get the chance to post but its it good to know we have a place to chat.

Lady Congrats on your walking journey. I think that the best exercising out there and its the least expensive.

Bamie New York can be expensive, but it a matter of where you're going to stay.Manhattan is the most expensive, than the outer boroughs like Brooklyn,Bronx and Queens.

Tar You have to be careful with wheat prods. not all are the same read the LABELS as what the Mfg say is whole wheat, you find that the label read ENRICHED (poison) Buyer be ware!!!

Ruth Sending some healing : vibes for your knee & back. Please be careful. Your garden sound beautiful.

Little Chick We had a tree fall also, the tree was bare of leaves but the brown hawk loved it as his tower to find his food.

to be fit How your kitty get better. Big congrats on your goals.

Hottie Its hard to be a mom now a days, I see what my DD is going though TG its over for me now that I'm a grandma.

Sunny Bunnyyour lucky that you have the weekends free. I just the opposite as the weekends are hectic for me.

Stay beaching Hugs BB

Morning Ladies!

Sorry I've been MIA for months but a lot has been going on. I got myself a new job and a new love, who is totally supportive of my getting healthy. I am going to start a WW/Sb combo and see how that goes.

I start on Monday. I've maintained my weight which is good in a way, but bad because I've wasted two months. Ok, not really. But the honeymoon phase of a new relationship (especially when him/her MOVES IN) kinda sidetracked me.

But I am back.

I hope you are all well. I will try catching up tonight -- hugs to you all!
