Default New Around Here

Hi all,

I'm new to veggie chicks but not 3fc. I am currently on WW and wanting to adopt a Vegetarian lifestyle (for several reasons) and eventually ease into a Vegan one. I am wanting all the info, advice, and anything else that I can get. I want to to do it right and don't quite know where to begin.

Thanks.

Watch some videos about factory farming from PETA if you haven't already. For most people, it's the easiest way and reason to become being vegetarian, hopefully vegan. I'm one because of it. Check out meet your meat.

Hello!

I'm an "existing 3FC-er" who's relatively new to vegetarianism as well. I began mainly because I have lupus and have spoken with several patients who said that eliminating meat from their diets helped alleviate their symptoms. So far it seems to be working fairly well.

Default Hello

Hello,

Thanks for the welcome. I feel I've gotten off to a good start. I have ordered a video from peta..that should be arriving soon. I have also begun reading on veganism and I'm hoping to make a smooth transition.
Talisman-I know someone who had cancer and once he switched to a all veg diet..the cancer went into remission. I believe anything is possible.

My dad avoided heart surgery by following Dr. Ornish's vegetarian diet - he also lost 45 lbs in too!

My dad also has psoriasis (a skin condition- not curable) and being vegetarian has helped that too.
