Default ? about tops meetings

I am considering joining TOPS. I was a member about 4 years ago, when I lived in a different town and I found it very helpful. I now have a 3 year daughter, I am wondering if children are permitted at meetings. She is very well behaved and I think she would be quiet and well behaved for the meeting.

Does anyone know if children are allowed to accompany members if they are not disruptive?

Thanks,

Nancy

Sorry Nancy but I don't know of any chapters that allow children. There may be but most do not. Altho some children are well behaved some are not. Unfortunately if you allow any then you have to allow all. Hopefully you can find someone to watch her so you can get back in TOPS

As far as I know children under 7 are not allowed. Children 7 or older are allowed but they need to become a member(just like we ourselves are).

Is there a meeting at a time that you could go to when your husband is home and he could look after your little one? I know here in my town there are many meetings/chapters at different times on different days(some in the morning and some in the evening.

Thanks to you both for your replies. I've asked some questions locally too and it looks like children are not permitted. I certainly understand that policy. I work shift work and for all the other meetings, I could only attend two a month, with the Tuesday day time meeting I could have made it to 3 a month. Unforunately, I don't have anyone else to watch her, so I'll have to have another look at my options.

Thanks again.

Nancy

I know for me starting in September I will only be able to make 2 meetings a month as my son will be in Kindergarten and then every other Friday he will be in school and the other Fridays he will be home...unless I decide to put him into daycare for the days he is off of school.
