Smile Monday Morning Chat

Good Morning all:
I hope you don't mind me starting a daily chat thread?
The coffee is on pull up a chair, and chat.
I am just starting my WW program again Couldn't tell you how many times I have done this. I am a stay at home GM, I watch my 2 GD's during the week. I live with my DH & DS (24). He moved back home when he got out of the Navy in May. I live in SC. The weather has been super cold for here. Can't wait for spring. I love to work outside and plant. I am getting ready to have new siding, windows, and a sunroom done to the house. Work should start in the next week or 2. I am taking before and after pictures, because it is going to be such a change.
I will cruise by later and see if anyone else is up and around.
Have a good day and stay warm if it is cold where you are.

Hi chipper!

After being in other threads for a while, I want to get chatting too.

It's been cold in DC too. I think I've intro'd myself about a thousand times but here's a brief...

I am 27 -- started to lose weight in March of 2003. Lost pounds then hit a stall. Joined the Y and lost another 10. Started South Beach in May and did that for a whole month before totally going off plan. Lost 14 with that and gained back 10. Started WW on the 20th and love it. I don't feel deprived and I can eat potatoes!!

This is the first time in my life I've "dieted". I was a thin kid and then hit puberty (very early) and things just started getting out of control. Got up to a size 22/24 2 years ago. Now am wearing a 16. I would love to lose another 10 by the end of March (marks 2 years since starting) to be down to my lowest yet. But we'll see.

Happy Monday!

Morning Jenn;
I have always been overweight. So, this is not much new to me. It's all of finding your comfort spot. That is what I found on SB, I wanted some things to eat and when you have them, you feel you cheated. I don't like feeling like I cheated. I had gone off plan and just couldn't bring myself starting from the beginning again. So, I went back to WW. I can have things I like. Sb, just wasn't fitting in anymore. We eat out so much, it was getting real hard.
Have a good day Jenn, GB is getting into something. The oldest one fell asleep on the couch. Both, have a cold.

Welcom Stitchy;
How did you lose the 7 pounds? WW can be tricky, as you still have to eat good for you foods. Even though you can have treats and count them. That is something I always have to work on.
Jenn; I am doing points.

I lost the 7Lbs because I got my gallBladder taken out. I was afraid to eat anything after It was taken out, so I was just eating soup and crackers. But Obviously that isn't a healthy diet..lol.. I love fruits and I don't mind eating healthy, it's just a matter of what to cook... I just don't know what to make.

Hi y'all.
I am new here too. I started WW last week. When I went back thru the doors again, I was expecting a celebration as the "one who has re-registered the most". Actually, I was quite happy to see the same leader and she gave me a big hug hello!! Then, my bubble burst when I realizd that I gained 10 more pounds from last October (when I stopped going). Of course, I ate so much for days knowing I was going back. I kept thinking this is my last meal before I go back. I kind of missed the start of the new year by a few weeks, but today is as good as any to start.

I started back to the gym, too. I really want this to work this time!! I happened to come across this website and maybe it is what I needed to help me jump start back into my program. I seem to be doing pretty well. I am having fun with new recipes from here and my leader. I just need to keep it up!!!!

I might consider getting my gall bladder out if I can lose 7 lbs. (LOL)

Hi!

I kind of new here. I've mostly been lurking in this forum for awhile. I hope you don't mind me joining in. My name is Robin. I'm 36 and a happily married mom to 4 great kids. I started WW on the 10th of Jan. and I have lost 11 lbs so far. I have mostly tried low carb but I couldn't stick to it. I am loving WW so far. I am doing it on my own right now. I plan on joining in a few weeks and going to meetings I think that will really help me be accountable.

Hi Robin,
I too tried the Low carb diets. I did lose weight, I ended up losing 15Lbs in about 2 months, and then I stopped losing for about 4 months. I got sick of eating low carb and getting no results so I stopped. Then I gained all the weight back and then a LOT! Now with the new year here, I think I am ready to start a New beginning. I just bought my first house with my BF so what better time than now to start a diet and get my life back on track. Eventually we will be getting married, and I don't want to be Huge for my wedding. I want to be the 132Lb Chick that I was when we started dating 5 years ago.

So Good Luck to you!

Hi!
Thanks for the welcome. It's nice to have found this thread since I don't have the accountablitly and the fellowship of going to meetings yet.
Congrats stitchy on buying your new house and on your upcoming wedding. It makes it nice to have a goal to work towards. Do you have a date set yet?
I had a pretty good day. I am excited to have found a lite thin crust veggie pizza that doesn't taste too bad. 1/8 piece is only about 3 pts. I think when I buy it next time I will add some spices but it wasn't too bad and my girls didn't complain. I got it aldi's. I never noticed it before tonight. I don't know if all aldi's would have them or not. I am actually going to come in under my points for today but I'm so stuffed. I could have drunk more water though. I just got busy and didn't think about it enough. I was wondering how do you all use your flex points? (if you're on flex) Do your points vary from day to day? or do you pretty much try and stay within your target all the time? I only have a few more pounds to lose before my target # changes. I'm kind of nervous about that. Well I'm off to bed. I hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

Hello!
I would like to join all of you too!
I am 36 and the mother of two girls, 9 & 13. Love to garden! It has become a passion in my life. Along with food! I am doing WW at home. Night snacking has been my downfall. Reading the posts have helped me try to stay on track.
Have a good night!
