Default I am new here

This is my very first post... i am started WW.... I went to the Drs yesterday for a kidney infection... i got on the scale and weighed 294lbs.... i was ashamed at how much weight i gained in 5 months since my son was born. I have struggled with being overweight most of my life. I was my thinest at like when i met my husband when i was 18... 9 years later. He has never said anything but... anyway i have many oppurtunites to lose weight and keep it off my first son in 2000 i was 265ish and i love 40lbs pregnant you would think i would do something then but i think from all the vomiting pregnant(all nine months) i go crazy afterwards. I have 3 beautiful children. And i want to be here to see them grow up... I recently quit smoking like 6 months ago and i knew i was gaining weight... i am tired all the time... my husband is sweet and said he would eat healthier for me but hes one of those who eats whatever and doesnt gain weight.... My best friend and I were the same weight years ago until she dieted and lost like 100 lbs or close to it. And i got pregnant for a second time... I guess if i could quit smoking after 10 years i can do anything! I am gonna try hard this time and hope for the best!

I am new here also and was about to post and cliked on you entry to check out what this is all about. I am at 301 my highest weight ever and just joined ww this past saturday. I can relate to you because, I have also just stopped smoking at New Years. So lets welcome each other and know we have the support here. Also as your husband, mine is the same way...can eat, eat, eat. We have been married for a yr and half. I have gained so much in that time thinking I could do like he does...its crazy. Any way good luck and best wishes along your way.

Hi Toodle and Jeterlover,

I don't post often on this forum but I did want to welcome you both and let you know that there are a lot of us here going through exactly what you're going through. Jeter, please don't be ashamed of yourself because of your weight ... your weight is NOT you! You are so much more than those numbers but I know it's a brutal world and when people see me the first time, the weight is probably the first thing they notice.

I lost from 287 to 193 doing WW flex points a couple of years ago but gained just about every pound of it back when I quit smoking last May. I started WW Core this week and am plugging away. We can all do it! You girls will probably have an easier time too since you're younger ... I'm closer to 50 than to 40 so my metabolism is not what it used to be!

Good luck to both of you!

Deborah

This is my first time on this website too. I lost 40 lbs on WW but have gained 20 back. I'm so disappointed in myself. I'm trying to do ww by myself without much success. I know I need to rejoin--the meetings help alot. I weigh 256 and need to lose a good 100 lbs. I'm older--in my fifties. I want to live to see my kids get married and be a grandmother. I quit smoking 20 years ago and it's one of my biggest accomplishments. Of course, my inability to lose weight is my biggest failure. At least we keep trying and don't give up. Congrats for quiting smoking. Gracie

Hi,
I have been on WW for five weeks. This is the first time I have posted. I quit smoking 10 years ago and know what a struggle it is. This is my first time joining WW. I tried doing it online but was not successful, I really need the meetings. I need all the encouragement I can get!
