Question

Hello everyone....need some help here...

Since Ive been on the program I've been counting my 45 min bike ride (I ususally go 2-3 times a week) as 2 pts for moderate....but a few weeks ago I went 5 times: I felt great but was +1 at weigh in!!!! I usually dont use the activity points for food....but should I? Today I did some searching around and at cyberdiet.com you can punch in your weight and choose an activity..and at the speed I go I am burning 445 calories, which is no way close to 2 points...its closer to the 6 for "hard"! Thing is it doesn't feel "hard" to me and I feel so much better when I do go...but I've been slowing way down on the weight loss lately....do I need to eat some of these earned points??? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

If u are eating at the low end of your point range then I would say yes..Eat some of the banked points otherwise don't do it..Also in the week 4 it talks about exercise and u get a slide which u can figure out if u are using low medium or high intensity..Just look on the back of the slide..Also in your week 1 book they talk about exercise..High intensity is when u exercise and can't hold a conversation..Medium exercise is when u exercise and can barely hold a conversation..Hope this helps u..Have fun riding..Don't look at it as exercise..Look at it as having fun...Something u are enjoying..

Activity points are not the same as the "calories burned" calculations you'll find many places or on many pieces of exercise equipment. They don't seem to be linear (meaning it takes a lot of time to earn the first and second point but less and less for the next points), it's not correlated with other exercise "point" formulas that some pieces of equipment read out...it's mysterious, but I've read elsewhere that one reason you might earn 4 points for doing activity that burns close to 500 cal according to your treadmill or whatever is to allow you to eat a little more without totally wiping out whatever benefit you could get from exercise.
