Unhappy having a tuff time

I'm new at this, but here goes.
I've been a ww member for 2 1/2 years, had lost 60 lbs, BUT, this last year has been a struggle for some reason, that would be me. This year I have managed to gain 12 lbs. I'm very disillusioned with myself right and am struggling with myself. I'm bound and determined NOT to quit ww but for the last few weeks it has been hard so I heard about you guys at a ww meeting a couple of weeks ago and thought I would see what you all are about.

Anyway, have to get to work now, I'll check in tomorrow.

Default Don't Give Up!

Weight loss is an ongoing issue... it is hard to stay focused when every day is a struggle. Try setting mini goals for yourself. Ones that you will be able to obtain. ex. I will drink 6 glasses of water today....... Today I will use the stairs instead of the elevator.......or Today I will make wise menu decisions.

I set up goals for myself and then set a reward that is NOT food for myself. For October my goal was to lose 6 pounds and if I succeeded then I allowed myself to purchase a new book and take an evening "off" to relax and read it. I am setting a goal for myself for Jan. to get to 199. It will take a lot of work, but my reward will be a shopping spree for the new size clothing. I will have to start saving up for it right after Christmas, but it gives me something to really look forward to and work towards.

Another question you might ask yourself, is what is going on right now in your life? Often we exchange food for something we are lacking. Are you stressed out? Is there anything going on right now that you are upset about? I find I eat when I am stressed, or when I am upset about something I develop an I don't CARE attitude. When you feel like you REALLY need something to eat, try to remember to stop and ask yourself how you are feeling at that moment. When is the last time you ate? What is going on at that moment? If it is not time to eat again, and you are stressed, try finding something to do for yourself. A long soak in a tub, read a good book, or maybe vacuum the floor or clean out a closet. Or you could come online and find a thread that interests you and write down what you are feeling and post it. Something to get your mind off your craving, and refocus that stress or energy somewhere else.

I wish you luck in your weightloss!
